Layla's pov.

( A few days later)

Once discharged from the hospital I immediately fired Emily.

"I'm not going anywhere Layla, you need me remember?"

Said Emily, glaring at me standing in my living room, under my chandelier.
How I wished it would snap at the robes and fall right on top of her.

"Emily, I don't have time to play games with you,
Arrow's new nanny is almost here.
And point of correction needed you.
You connected us through a blood ritual,
Knowing damn well you can't keep it between your pants.
Do you have any idea what happened to me in the hospital?
Nevermind, I'll apply the loop hole, if you far I won't get affected."

I said looking at my watch and saw that I had an hour to get to work.

"What about me? It works both ways!
How did you think I was feeling?"

Said Emily with her hands on her hips , looking at me like I was being unreasonable.

"You said It wouldn't affect you!
So I should now burn in a pyre for something you lied about?
You know damn well I wouldn't of agreed if I had that information.
Can you blame me while you move?
As in take your bags and go!?!!!"

I shouted forgetting that Arrow was near by.

And on cue she walked in and looked from Me to Emily.

"Mommy what's going on?"

Asked Arrow and I decided to share a portion of the truth.

"Emily here lied to me and I ended up embarrassed because of it.
She can't stay with us because I no longer trust her.
What's more is I don't like her and want her to leave."

I said so cynical like I was addressing a stray cat and not an actual human being. Arrow looked at Emily in surprise.

"Why did you do it?"

Asked Arrow stalling the whole thing.
I was so done with this pointless conversation.
Emily looked lost in thought until Arrow raised her voice.

"WHY DID YOU DO IT?!!!!"

Asked Arrow shaking Emily's arms as tears poured down her face.
Emily frowned before responding to Arrow rudely.

"Do we look like mates?
Am I your age?
How dare you raise your voice at me?!!!"

Snapped Emily making Arrow flitch and let go of her.
She ran and hid behind my back and I smirked at Emily.
The only person who could have defended her and forced me into making her stay now is afraid of her.

"I'll drive you to school Arrow, let's go.
Emily I'll send people to help you leave since you need to be carried to leave."

I said grabbing Arrow's hand after taking my hand bag.

"I'm not leaving Layla.
I made a mistake and I'm sorry.
I don't even like Veronica."

Said Emily making me drop my car keys in pure shock. I should get it together Veronica is just my past now.

I ignored Emily and got into the car after helping Arrow buckle up in the passanger seat I drove to her school and got out my car to see the classroom.

It's her first day and I needed to see if nothing will trigger her, to remember that she was kidnapped.

I bring in a counselor everyday but she hasn't said a word about what happened.
So I'm kinda in the dark about what happened to her.

Her form teacher stood up and approached me smiling.
His dark brown curly hair was up to his butt. His green eyes smiling at the corners to welcome us.
