The Bad Girl Sleeps In My Bed ❁ Chapter Fifteen

Some of the greatest survivors have been women. Look at the courage so many women have shown after surviving earthquakes in the rubble for days on end. –– Bear Grylls

"Somebody call 9-fucking-11!" Diego yells as he rushes to Hollie's side and kneels down next to me. A lot of the students have come out and they're all shocked to see the scene in front of them. Today is just supposed to be a fun evening where we all enjoy prom and just let loose before school ends for the summer.

"You're not going to die on me," I yell as I start doing CPR on her. "Do you hear me Hollie? You won't die today!"

Elise has tears running down her face as she's clutching onto her chest and hyperventilating. Cole has his arm around her while he's trying to calm her down. He is extremely shocked as well. When he saw Hollie lying on the concrete I swear I could see a thousand emotions flashing through his eyes. My head snaps up from Hollie's body when I hear the ambulance arrive.

Four paramedics jump out of the car as they take a gurney from the back and rush to Hollie. They place an oxygen mask around her face as they lift her onto the gurney. The paramedics apply some medical pads onto her wounds so it would stop the bleeding a little bit. They place different wires onto her, which start showing her pulse and blood pressure on the small screen in front of me.

"There's no pulse," One of them says. "Intubate her and charge paddles to 200." He's handed two paddles as another one charges them. "Clear." He says and presses the paddles onto Hollie's chest, sending shocks through her body as it jumps up from the ground about 5 centimeters. There's a small beep on the screen as the paramedic hands the paddles back. "We got sinus." He says as he lifts up the gurney and rushes to the car.

"What hospital are you taking her to?" I ask as I run up to them quickly.

"Riverview Central," one of the men replies as they push Hollie's inside and the ambulance disappears from out vision, the sound of sirens echoing through the air. I grab Diego and Elise and rush to my car.

"We need to make sure she's okay," I stutter as I'm trying to get my seatbelt buckled. "Why the hell isn't this thing going in?" I yell out of frustration. I just push the seatbelt aside and turn on the car, backing out of the parking lot as quickly as I can.

Diego places his hand on my shoulder, "Take a deep breath. She'll be fine, make sure you don't crash into someone. Keep your mind clear and your eyes only on the road."

Yes, I'm slightly intoxicated right now and adrenaline is rushing through my veins, now obviously isn't the best time to drive a car as my mind is somewhere else but I just have to make sure everything is okay with her and nothing serious happened. I can't even imagine what I'd do if something bad happened to her. Once that thought crosses my mind, I press down on the gas pedal harder as the car accelerates to 60 miles per hour. I park my car once I get to the hospital and immediately rush into the emergency room, my eyes scanning the room to desperate find Hollie.

"Where's Hollie O'Connor?" I ask as I run up to a nurse. "This is important, we're her friends and we saw what happened to her." The nurse looks as us and points to a room. We run there and I notice the words 'Trauma Room 2' written on it. I peek through the window and see a ton of doctors around her, all doing something different. She still has the tube in her mouth while they're injecting all kinds of things into her body.
