* 2 weeks later *

I looked around the apartment and sighed

Me - Layla go put on your shoes .

She said ok and did as told . When she came back I grabbed my shoes and headed towards the door . I dropped her off over Deja house .

When I came back home I looked in the refrigerator, there was nothing to eat .

The door opened and in came Travis with bags of food in his hands .

Travis - hey baby

Me - hey boo he sat the bags down and left back out my apt , returning with more

Me - what's this ?

Travis - oh . I just brought yall some groceries

Me - you didn't have to . I'm going to work today

He looked at me

Travis - no you aren't

Me - yes I am I said grabbing my apron . My bills not gone pay themselves

Travis - don't worry your pretty little head Aaliyah

Me - I appreciate you for the food but I got it baby .
He shook his head no and my stomach started hurting .

I sat down groaning
Travis - have you ate ? He asked concerned

I nodded yes

Travis - no you haven't
In the quickness he was back with a sandwhich

Me - Travis I groaned

Travis - what ? He said trying to give me the sandwich

Me - I'm tired of you always tryna feed me a damn sandwich man

Travis shrugged
Travis - this all I know how to cook .

I see mf

I shook my head
Me - I can't eat another one Travis

Travis - uhhhh I can try to make something else ?
I shook my head no

He can't cook for shit

Travis - but you gotta eat he complained

Me - I'm fine

Travis - you have to feed my baby he said pushing that damn sandwich to me .

Me - you eat this sandwich . Come on Layla

Travis - where you going ? He asked following us out the apartment

Me - she want to go over Deja's

Everybody in the hood just looked at me and I started to get irritated by all of the sad looks they were giving me .

It reminded me that my moms gone .

Travis - you ok ?

Me - I'm fine I said lowly walking back into the apartment building .

When I looked back I seen a black car .

I couldn't take the looks everyone were giving me .

Me - I'll have Deja come get you I told Layla

I noticed all of the looks she was getting and I know that's why she came back in the house .
