Prince Jack's POV:

As soon as the carriage pulled up, I dashed for the palace library. The librarian, a big guy named Bob, came up to me.

"Why hello, Prince Jack!" He greeted me, bowing respectfully.

"Oh Bob, you know I don't like it when people bow, it makes me feel like I matter more than others when I really don't." He apologized and asked me why I was here. "I'm looking to do some research on my... Hair condition." He seemed surprised by this.

"Oh, well then, you'll want to view the
Rara Libro magicae Humanum ægrotationum." Bob informed me. "It's over here." I followed him into the far section of the royal library and he picked through the shelves and handed me a large red book with a green gem on the front cover.

"Thanks, Bob," I said as he walked back to his desk. Sitting down at a table, I frantically flipped and skmed through pages looking for color-changing hair... When finely, in Chapter XVII, there it was... But half of the page was torn out! "Huh?" I was confused, who would destroy a book?

deciding to shake it off, I read what was there... good thing Father had my tutors teach me Latin!

What the page says:

auium diuersicolores degenerante capillum

After reading the page, I realized something about him... He was even more special than I. Which in my opinion, most people are, but I also realized something as well... His hair turned pink whenever he looked at me. Was he IN LOVE with me??

"I've never seen anyone so excited to read before, other than myself o' course," Bob interrupted my thoughts, and apparently an excited squeal I didn't even know I made. My cheeks heated up and turned pink.

"Oh, um," I rubbed my face with my hands nervously.

"Hehehe, it's alright," he chuckled. "I won't say another word, your highness." He turned my cap playfully, making me laugh then walked away. My thoughts returned to Mark; his strong muscles, his gorgeous lips, his dark eyes that reminded me of the way I liked my coffee. I hoped it wouldn't overwhelm him once he'd found out who I was at the ball tomorrow.
