I was sitting down on the couch right next to sodapop who was fast asleep but darry and i were as awake as an owl

"Gosh darn it where the hell is that boy!" He said to me "Darry just sit down hell show up" i told his trying to get darry relaxed, pony had never bee out this late ever so why today?

"What time is it darry?" I asked him mid yawn  "why its already 1!" He told me "are you serious?" I had thought it was like 11 or something but no it was 2 oh boy where the hell is he i was now starting to get scared

"Okay what if he was with those girl and he left home with one of them!"

"Oh shut up marry pony would never do such a thing like that he might just be with two-bit"

"God i hope so you want me to go over to two-bits to see if he's their?" Darry shook his head 'no' "its one is the mornin they all asleep by now" he was right pony couldn't possibly be their

Then darry looked up from his paper. He was in his feet in seconds. I saw ponyboy as he stood their  chewing on his fingernails
"Where the heck have you been do you know what time it is?" Darry was furious i hadn't seen him this mad in a long ass time 

"Well its two a clock in the morning kiddo another hour and i would have had the police out after you" he told pony i just sat their and in my head thinking yeah he's mad i don't need to be mad two " he was getting madder i could tell an their wasn't anything i coul do

"Where in the almighty universe were you?" It sounded dumb, even to me, when he stammered, "I... I went to sleep in the lot..."

"You what?" I was asked him seeing darry was getting even madder, and Sodapop sat up and rubbed his eyes.
"Hey, Ponyboy," he said sleepily, "where ya been?"
"I didn't mean to." I pleaded with Darry. "I was talking to Johnny and we both dropped off..."
"I reckon it never occurred to you that your siblings might be worrying their heads off and afraid to call the police because something like that could get you two thrown in a boys' and girls' home so quick it'd make your head spin. And you were asleep in the
lot? Ponyboy, what on earth is the matter with you? Can't you use your head? You haven't even got a coat on."

I just stood their listening to their fight

Damn it im supposed to see dallas...

"I said I didn't mean to..."
"I didn't mean to!" Darry shouted. "I didn't think! I forgot!
"That's all I hear out of you! Can't you think of anything?"
"Darry..."
"Okay darry come on why you got to be so ruff on kid he said he didnt mean to it wont happen again..." Sodapop and i began, but Darry turned on us. "Y'all keep y'alls trap shut! I'm sick and tired of hearin' y'all stick up for him."

Pony exploded. "You don't yell at him!" He shouted. Darry wheeled around and slapped him so
hard that it knocked him against the door.

Suddenly it was deathly quiet. We had all frozen. Nobody in my family had ever hit any of us. Nobody. Soda was wide-eyed. Darry looked at the palm of his hand where it had turned red and then looked back at pony. His eyes were huge. "Ponyboy..."
Pony turned and ran out the door and down the street as fast as he could. Darry screamed, "Pony, I didn't mean to!" Ponyboy was out of sight in seconds.

I turned to darry now i was the one mad "DARRY WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SERIOUS?" i asked him he sat down in chair right behind him and looked up at me sodapop was in shock as was i "i didnt mean to"
"You didnt mean to what the devil was going on in your head that you had to ........hit pony? What? Huh? What made you thing that was a good idea?" I told him scolding him i turn to sodapop "soda go to bed your tiered anyways i got to talk to darry for a but and im sure ponyboy will be back by tomorrow" and with that sodapop left to our room and i turned back to darry

"You really think hell be back?"
"I dont know darry after what you did i hope so" i told him

"But what mad you think that hitting him was a good idea you dont hit your family you should never hit your family so why the hell darry?"

"I know and i said i didnt mean to" he told me,with a tear running down his face "hey darry listen I know you didn't mean to but knowing ponyboy he won't be back till tomorrow so I suggest we go and sleep and see till tomorrow" I told him he shook his head and walked to his room and I did the same

I pushed the door open to find sodapop fast asleep on the bed I was about to jump in bed too but I remember I had to go see Dallas so I grabbed my bag the one I bring everywhere and opened the window slightly trying not to make any noise as I stepped outside heading to buck merrells place

Its never a long walk just 2 miles south on foot sodapop and I would always walk to bucks place when their would be parties on the weekends I remember that we had to be quite and not wake ponyboy up when we left or else he would want to come along with us. Darry had never found out we've left multiple times  i don't remember why we stopped going just one day to the next we stopped going together sometime I'd hear him sneak out and id sneak out myself but we haven't been close ever since mom and dad died.....

I was hoping to see ponyboy in the street somewhere and convince him to go home but I never saw him...

When I got to bucks place I didn't even knock I just walked right in their was a party going on but I just came for Dallas when I walked in I felt every girls eyes on me I felt so judged I didn't see Dallas anywhere but I did see buck I walked over to him and I could tell he was way more drunk than before

"Hey buck where's Dallas?" I asked him hoping he could hear me over this music he shook his head up and down in a 'what you want kid' "where's dally?" I told him a little louder and I think he finally heard me because he replied "upstairs in the same room!"

"Okay thanks!" I almost screamed at him and walked to the stairs I was so happy to see Dallas but when I walked into the room he was fast asleep he looked almost like and Angle but everyone knew he was the devil. I walked closer to dallas. How the hell could he sleep with all this loud music?

When I stepped closer he woke up and turned to look at me "hey I thought you where gonna come back!" He said with a sleepy voice and closed eyes "I know something happened at home but here I am !" I told him as he stood up and got closer to me "yeah and what happened?" He said seductively putting a piece of my hair behind my ear  "just some stuff" I told him our lips inches apart untill he leaned in for the kiss that ended in more........
