Chapter 11

"What kind of question is that?" I said, looking at him weirdly. More importantly, what kind of person would just straight up ask if someone had feelings for someone else? Those kinds of talks are personal and reserved for family members or trusted friends only.

Levi didn't belong in any of those categories.

"It's a question that you should answer," he said, leaning back.

"Well, why do you wanna know?" I asked, crossing my arms. There has to be a reason that Levi brought up that subject all of a sudden. How is he talking about Jason in one moment and my feelings in another?

"Because it's a question that should be answered?" he said slowly, as if he was reading it from somewhere else.

I quickly turned behind me and saw nothing there. When I looked back at Levi, he was looking at me weirdly. "Why'd you look back?" he asked.

"Why are you asking about my feelings for him?" I retorted.

"Ha! So you do that feelings for him!" he exclaimed, jumping up and pointing at me. Okay, maybe those were the wrong words to use.

"I didn't mean-"

"Nope, you said it. You not meaning to say it only adds that you unconsciously said that making it more true!" he said, looking very excited.

I stuttered for a bit but otherwise said nothing. Nothing I could say would change his mind since what he said was true. Some part of me did have feelings for Layton, for reasons unknown, but the problem is I don't know what kind of feeling it is.

"W-why do you care anyways?" I wondered, looking at him weirdly. I subtly held my face against one hand to try and hide the blush that I knew was there.

"No reason. So tell me, when are you gonna make a move-"

"First of all," I interrupted, "-no, I'm not planning to 'make a move' any time soon. Look, I don't even know what kind of feeling it is anyways," I told him.

"What do you mean?" he asked, looking confused.

"I kinda do feel something for him but I don't know what it is." Was it anger, fear, or something else?

"I seriuosly have no idea what you mean," he said, shaking his head at me. I sighed. Maybe it was a long shot discussing it with Levi.

Why was I even discussing it with Levi in the first place? "Never mind," I mumbled, looking back towards Jason. He was sound asleep in the bed and again I smiled at how peaceful he looks.

At that moment the door opened and in walked Layton carrying two huge sleeping bags on each arm. While it would have normally been difficult for a normal person to carry even one of them, he was easily carrying two. I don't think I'll ever get used to seeing that.

I looked away and tried to hide my blush due to the discussion I was having with Levi a second before he walked in. Pretty sure vampires have really good hearing, what if he had heard what we were talking about?

Even if he had, he wasn't saying anything about it so that must be good.

"Where's Jason?" he asked, slowly dropping the bags on the floor. I motioned to the bed and Layton nodded before walking to the bathroom.

I turned towards Levi and saw that he was grinning at me while giving me a suggestive look. I glared at him when he kept motioning towards the bathroom with his head. "You need to stop," I whispered harshly at him, peeking at the bathroom with every word to make sure he doesn't hear what I was saying.
