Ultrasound

Simon: I woke up the next morning and left Eric with Lauren's sister before going to meet Demi at the clinic, I was nervous. The last time I did this was with Eric and obviously in that moment I took for granted that I wasn't going to be a father again...I failed in that.

Eric: where are you going dad?

Simon: I'll go to see some business things but I'll be back fastly

Eric: when are we going to see Demi again?

Simon: maybe I could invite her to have lunch with us today, would you like it?

Eric: yes! (I left him with his aunt and arrived to the clinic almost 20 minutes later. I went to the maternity area and she was there sitting on the waiting room while playing with her phone)

Demi: hey (she came to greet me)

Simon: hello, how are you?

Demi: I'm fine and you?

Simon: nervous I guess

Demi: oh, I am too...it's my first baby, you know, I don't know how is all this but you can help me with it I guess

Simon: yeah, of course (we sat on the chairs)

Demi: where is Eric?

Simon: he's at his aunt's house

Demi: cool

Simon: and umm, he told me that he wanted to see you so I told him you were going to have lunch with us

Demi: oh that's great

Simon: you want to?

Demi: sure, I want to see him too

Doctor: Demetria Lovato

Demi: oh gosh (we stood up and entered)

Doctor: hello, I'm the doctor Greene, I'll be your doctor all this months

Demi: well, thanks I guess

Doctor: I see you're nervous, is this your first child?

Demi: yeah

Doctor: and you must be her fa-

Demi: he's the father of my child (she said kinda angry)

Doctor: oh sorry, I should've ask

Simon: no proble-

Demi: yes, you should've (I smiled knowing that she was like this with me and she laid on the stretcher and she followed her too. I stood away) hey, come closer

Simon: oh okay (I went to her side and sat on a chair next to her)

Doctor: we're gonna start with this (she lifted her t-shirt and the doctor put a cokd gel on her abdomen before starting with the ultrasound) well, let me see (she did some things to control the baby)

Demi: is everything okay? (She was worried)

Doctor: I'm gonna call another doctor, wait here

Demi: but it's okay?

Doctor: I'm not sure, I can't find the heartbeat (her eyes became watery as the doctor left the room)

Demi: I'm afraid Simon (she said on a shaky voice and I held her hand)

Simon: don't worry little one, we'll see (I kissed her hand and two doctors entered)

Doctor 2: hi, let me see (he looked some things and smiled at us)

Demi: what happened?

Doctor: the baby is okay, you have two months and some days so in the next appointment you'll be able to discover the sex of the baby

Simon: really? (I smiled unconsciously and Demi kissed my hand)

Doctor: yes...well, we'll see you in a month guys, have a nice time and be careful with the baby

Demi: yeah

Simon: thank you (we went out of there and surprisingly she held my hand while walking to the car but then let me go smiling slightly) well, that was weird but I'm happy

Demi: yeah, me too, our baby is safe

Simon: I told you, is your baby, it has your blood...and that means, that it's a warrior

Demi: you're the sweetest (we went to my house, had lunch and then, after taking Eric to one of his friend's house. We went to Demi's house)
