"So you patched things up with Jake?" Zeke asked through the phone. "Everything's all good." I smiled into the phone, Jake and I were back to our old self's. "So when do you think we can meet up again?" Zeke asked, "I'm not sure may-"

A knock came to my patio door, I furrowed my eyebrows. I stood up, "Harper?" Zeke spoke into the phone. "I'm here, someones just at on my patio." I mumbled into the phone. I slightly moved the curtain to the side.

Seth stood with his hands in his short pockets.

I sighed, I hadn't seen Seth since the incident happened. "Hey I gotta go, I'll call you back." I hung up the phone, putting it on my dresser.

I unlocked the door, slowly opening it.

"What do you want Seth?" I asked, my tone was harsher than I expected. "Can we talk." He whispered, his face was so child like. I couldn't help but move aside. I walked to the other side of the room. He instantly started, "I'm sorry about the kiss, I just really like you and I didn't know what came over me." he rambled on, I felt my heart soften for him.

"Seth." I spoke, he stopped. His eyes intense on mine, "apology accepted." I smiled, the corners of his mouth lifted up into a grin. He suddenly ran towards me, lifting me up by the waist and hugging me.

"Okay Seth, that's enough." I laughed, "I'm really sorry Harper." He pulled away. Putting me on the ground. "Just don't do it again. You're a close friend of mine Seth." I said, he nodded.

"I know, just close friends." He mumbled to himself.

Crap.

It felt as if someone had punched me, why did he like me? I couldn't help but feel bad for the way he felt about me. I broke Nate's heart, and now I'm breaking another. "Seth." I softly said, stepping forward. "Am I your imprint?" I blurted the question out.

He looked a bit taken back, I raised an eyebrow. "Am I?" I repeated, he looked down at the floor, looking back up and shaking his head. I softly smiled, "then the girl you truly love is still out there." I grabbed a hold of his hands. "You just gotta find her."

A smile formed on his lips.

"You think?" He asked, I giggled. "I know." I answered. "Wow I never thought of it that way." He said, I laughed, letting go of his hands. "You're a sweet kid Seth." I smiled, standing on my tip toes and pressing my lips to his cheek. I could feel him tense up, but quickly  relax.

I pulled away, "now that is the last kiss we will ever share. Got it?"

He grinned, nodding his head.

"Now go home Seth, it's late." I finished, he made his way to the doors. Turning around one last time, "you know Jake really loves you. You mean everything to him. You're his imprint."

And with that he closed the door behind him.

_____

"Harper."

"Harper."

"Har-"

"WHAT?" I cried out, shooting my eyes open.

Jake laid next to me, "wanna go to the beach?" He asked, a smile on his face. I rolled my eyes, turning over and looking at the clock. It was nine in the morning.

I groaned.

"Fine." I mumbled, sitting up and rubbing my eyes. I stumbled out of bed, walking to my dresser and pulling out a pair of jeans and a t shirt. "I know what happened last night." Jake spoke up, I looked at him.

Confused.

"What are you talking about?" I asked, "Seth told me, it was nice what you said. I just didn't like what you did after." He mumbled, I raised and eyebrow. And burst out in laughter, "are you jealous?" I questioned, he rolled his eyes.

"No." He spat, I laughed harder. Jake was actually jealous, oh this is priceless!

"Jake, it's not a big deal. I just kissed him." I replied, walking into the bathroom and changing into my clothes. "A big deal? You kissed him Harper." He cried out, I raised and eyebrow. "It's just a kiss. It meant nothing. Can we drop it now?" I asked, running a brush through my hair.

I had to admit, I missed doing stuff like this with Jake. The waking up with him next to me, the friendly arguing. It was like old times.

I slipped on my converse.

"Ready." I smiled, Jake smiled back. He had dropped the subject. "Alright then, let's get a move on." He jumped off my bed, picking me up and throwing me over his shoulders. "Jake put me down." I laughed as he opened my patio door.

"We'll get there faster this way." He said, and took off running into the woods. I watched as the vibrant colors of greens flashed by. I couldn't help but grin, I was happy. I was actually happy again.

I had Jake back.

I had everything back.

Just the way it was.

Like nothing had ever changed.

_____

I laughed as I pushed Jake to the ground. It took all my strength, but I did it.

He laughed, picking me back up as if I was as light as a feather.

We both sat up, catching our breaths.  It got silent, just the heavy breathing was heard, but it was interrupted by the giggles of young children. I smiled as I watched them play in the sand, La Push always got popular during the Summer.

"Harper?"

I turned my attention to Jake. "Yeah?" I replied.

"I love you."

I felt my heart beat get faster, my mouth starting to dry,

He said it again, but it felt different. As if he was waiting to say this one, I looked down at the grains of sand.

Why wasn't I saying it back?

I looked up, his eyes starred into mine.

Then my emotions took over; I crushed my lips to his, cupping his face in my hands and letting my lips take over.

I could feel my heart fluttering.

Our lips moving in perfect sync as I let myself fall into his arms.

I could feel the love and passion between us, like I never felt before.

I pulled away gasping for air, starring directly into the eyes I loved with all my heart.

"I love you too."
