Chapter 007

SUNDAY.

Nasa bahay lang ako. Mom wanted to go to Tagaytay with Kuya and Pamela, but Pamela has to visit some of her friends. So I just stayed at the house. Sabi ni Dad, next week nalang daw kami lalabas na magpamilya.

So ayun, batong-bato na ako sa kwarto ko. Bea called, she asked kung tuloy daw ba kami sa Tagaytay dahil sasama daw siya. Okay din itong bestfriend ko e, kahit harap-harapan ng pinarada sa kanya ang girlfriend ng pinakamamahal niya, bigay todo parin siya. Siguro kung ako yun, suko na ako.

*tok *tok *tok

Bigla akong napatayo sa pagkakahiga ko at binuksan ang pinto.

“Bakit Manang?”

“Pinapatawag ka ni Mommy mo. May bisita ka raw.”

“S-sino?”

“Hindi ko alam iha e. Bumaba ka nalang.” Sabi ni Manang kaya bumaba nalang ako.

Pagbaba ko.. o____o Anong ginagawa niya dito?

Yes. Si Rhys. Kasama si Mommy sa garden umiinom ng juice.. and happily chatting?

o___o This is too much to bear.

“O, andito na pala si Yana.”

I smiled not knowing what to do. Crap. Anong sasabihin ko?

“Uh… hi? Napadaan ka ata?”

He smiled. “Yeah. Well, I’ll ask permission na from your parents.”

Permission? Anong permission?

“Let him explain. I said yes already. Excuse me, iho. I have some important errands to do pa. Take care tomorrow ha?”

“Yes, mam. Thank you.” He smiled. Mom then went away but she grinned to me when she passed by. What’s happening?

I sat down at the garden table looking at him.

“Ba’t ka nandito?” I asked him.

“Wala lang. Thought I’ll meet your family.”

“And why is that?”

“I’m planning to bring you somewhere kasi this Monday.”

Oohhhh?

“You asked permission na from my parents?”

“Yeah.” He smiled.

“Eh hindi ka pa nga nag-aask ng permission saken..” Ahihihihi.

Bigla naman siyang napatigil.

“Oh snap. Yeah, I’m sorry. So.. Yana.. would you like to go out with me.. tomorrow?”

Gaaaa. He’s really asking me out. Gaaa.. Is this really true?!

“You had a permission na from Mom, like i can say no pa.” I smiled.

“No.. I mean.. if you don’t wanna go out with me, it’s alright, I guess..”

“Oh. Okay..”

“But ayos lang ba talaga?”

“Yeah.” I smiled again and he smiled at me.

“Errr.. okay then. I’ll wait for you outside your school tomorrow.”

“Sure.”

“So.. mauuna na ako..” He stood up. “Err.. where’s Tita?”

“She’s in the kitchen. Ako nalang magsasabi sa kanya na aalis ka na.”

“Okay. Thanks.” Then ayun, hinatid ko siya palabas ng bahay and I then went inside my rooom.
