Mel sighed as she put the last present under the christmas tree. She was at her house cleaning up making it look nice for all the family that was coming over tomorrow.
She kinda hated the holidays that were so close together because she sees her family back to back and they aren't the kindest people.
Thanksgiving was hecked for them. she sat down remembering the memory.
"so mel still having those nightmares?" her very distant aunt asked making it very actually
the "nightmares" he was talking about were the dreams she used to have about how her parents and sister died.
looking around mel felt tear prick in her eyes as trey spoke up for her
"you would know if you payed attention to the right things in life in stead of chasing after these niggas like that one" he finished pointing towards the guy she bought
"how could you say that to me?" she said her hand over her chest
"bitch you as is step family not even real' second you came at my sister crazy and ion fuck with that. and lastly bitch this is my house and if you have a problem you can go bye." he spat loudly at her making the awkwardness build up as she grabbed her items and left and trey spoke saying you won't be missed
That same aunt was coming back and mel wasn't ready for it all to unravel.
Slowly getting up to go in her room she got a call from "tay" she hasnt talked to him in so long
"hey t" mel hummer into the phone
"wassup" he said sounding like he was high
"nothing much just prepping for tomorrow"
"what's tomorrow" he questioned
"uhh christmas?" mel stated not knowing if he might have been joking or not
"oh shit that toma" he said getting up not believing it
"yup" mel said smiling slightly
"you get me something" he said
"ion you still me friend?"
"naw... i'm the best friend" he said in a duh tone knowing that's all he will ever be to her
"you not acting like it" mel said picking at her nails getting nervous
"watcha mean?"he said not thinking mel might have noticed how distant he was being
"you just been... ion... different. idk though" mel said
"yeah imma call you back" he said hanging up pissed at himself
mel feel back on the bed upset at it all as she rolled over letting sleep take over

yawning mel woke up and went down stairs seeing nicole come in behind her happy
"yesss finally" she said running to the tree
as the boys walked down as well they all watched her
