"Mel baby" davis asked while looking over at her then back towards the road.
"hmm" mel hummed looking at the book she was reading on her phone.
They were on the way to pick up king from day care, it was a little past 3 o'clock. And d was getting her attention to let her know they were going to be pulling up soon.
Pulling up to day daycare they both got out walking to the back we're the baby center was.
"hello my future baby daddy" a brown skin girl spoke flirting with d
"uh we're here to pick up king" d said wrapping his arm around mel
"hmmm it seems his real mommy is here already" she said rolling her eyes at mel gesturing towards herself as mel cocked her eyebrows and spoke before d could.
"look her lil bitch. i don't give a fuck about you flirting with my man bc i get to go home with him. but don't come for me or how me and MY SONS relationship is bc you don't know shit and you must not know shit as well bc on the paper it doesn't say someone came in so do your fuckin job. come on baby let's go get our kid" mel said in one breath going towards the back we're she saw a happy king playing with blocks with a light skin girl.
"hey baby" mel said as her whole mood had changed since what happened before
king smiled looking at mel as she scooped up king in her arms when the babysitter walked over and smiled
"hey mom, king is doing very well and he is trying to sit-up all on his own you have a very developed baby on your hands"
"ohh you hear that baby boy" mel said happy that all her hard work was paying off.
"that's all come and sign some forms to let him go" the babysitter said talking about the sign out slip
mel signed it and grabbed his bag
mel started walking back out to the car sending a glance at the girl at the front desk before walking outside
"yeah imma hit you back on that" d said ending his call taking king out mels arms putting him in his car seat
"so king is doing so great in there and the teacher said he is very developed" mel told d said smiling form ear to ear
"that's your baby indeed he most def get that super smart shit from you" d said laughing
"not true you can be a dumbass but you can be smart sometimes" mel said laughing as well causing king to laugh like he understood what was happening
"whatever man" d said kissing mel on the cheek driving off
hours later mel was getting dropped off at her house, she was leaving for her schooling in less than a week. She would come back for breaks and some weekends but it still sadden her that she was leaving all her family behind.
She was going to do little classes until she choose what she wanted to do as her Major and minor.
"bye my babies" mel spoke out to d and king kissing both of them goodbye.
She knew she was gonna miss this and she was nervous that d might get bored, yet she trusted him even though she had her fears
"bye ma, imma call you later ight?" d said looking at her
"okay" she said through a smile that was placed on her face
she was really gonna miss them.
