Chapter 34 | He’s Not Important

Pauline Cynthia Zunino’s Point of View

I saw Mom took a glance at me after she put down the milk in front of me. I almost wanted to roll my eyes when I heard what she said.

Sabi na at kaagad malalaman ni Mommy. Gaaaaah so annoying.

“So?”

That shitty human doesn’t belong here.

She’s putting all of us at risk. And also, she’s making me mad and annoyed big time.

I sighed. “Can I just stay here?”

I don’t want to see that horrible, disgusting and pathetic human being in my place.

After the final evaluations, magkakaroon naman ng final examinations. It’s a lot different than evaluations because unlike it, it’s a written one, and requires a lot of time of studying.

Mom gave me a soft smile. “The Uni doesn’t give any exceptions, even for a Highest Ranker.”

I gave her a frown and pout a little. “Ayoko siya makita,” I whined.

“Wala na tayong magagawa, anak. He’s already here and he’s desperate to talk to you; all you can do is just ignore him until he leaves.” Mom brushed my hair from the back as she spoke in a really soft voice that made my heart melt.

“Mom,” I called. “He doesn’t deserve a second chance, right? After what he did…”

I admit that when I found out Warner came here, in our world, in Bleanriths, just to talk to me… It made my heart ache.

He's not afraid of me.

He's not afraid of what I can do.

He was as dashing as ever; his charcoal eyes still makes my heart beat so fast, his small smile that I missed so much…

But…

He betrayed me.

“I really can’t decide for you, baby,” Mom whispered. “But I can tell that he really likes you.” Tumawa si Mommy at niyakap ako.

“Pero nagawa niya kong saktan.”

He knew everything… and he didn’t tell me. Instead, pinagtagpo niya pa kaming dalawa ng napakagaling kong ama.

That’s bullshit.

“Kuya! Sino ‘tong gwapo dito?”

“Warner.”

“Is he a stu—Oh my fucking witch, he’s a human!”

“Your mouth, Saffron!”
