"Are you sure about this, sweetie?" Mom asked softly when she found me in our balcony.

"Yes, Mom," I answered with determination in my voice.

"You know you don't have to pressure yourself into coming back."

Tumango ako at ngumuso. "Alam ko naman po yun, Mom."

Hindi naman. Sadyang may gusto lang akong makita. 

Kaya lang ay hindi pa pwedeng magkita kami hangga't 'di ko nakakaharap si Franco Alverado, my biological father.

Six months ago, binigyan ako ni Doctor Watson ng go signal para pumunta sa Earth. Not for another job, but to finally close the doors that caused me trauma for more than a decade. 

Pero kahit anim na buwan na ang nakakalipas ay hindi ako bumalik. Honestly, I'm still scared and I don't think I'm ready, yet.

"Okay, I'll schedule our transpo," mahinang untag ni Mommy bago bumalik na sa loob ng bahay.

Raine invited us to her engagement party. Kaso sa Earth gaganapin dahil halos lahat ng kamag-anak nilang dalawa ay d'on nakatira. 

I took her invitation as a sign to finally go back and finally heal. For real.

"Is this okay?" Tanong ni Sara habang umiikot at pinakita sa'kin ang suot niyang dress.

It was a shining silver dress with a really low cut. It hugs her body perfectly, showing her perfect curves. 

"Super okay!" Tango ko na namamangha sakanya. "You're pretty, and hot!" I added that made her laugh.

"Too bad you're the only one who can see that," she nonchalantly said. 

Lumingon si Hera galing sa pagkakapili ng damit dahil sa narinig at napailing. "Forget that guy. He's not worth it." 

I nodded, agreeing to Hera's words. Sara didn't say anything, but I can feel that her mind started to wander again. 

Ugh. Boys are idiots. Ang ganda-ganda ng kaibigan ko tapos sasaktan lang?

My friends' transport schedule was ahead of us; si Cyran naman ay hindi na kailangan magpa-sched dahil doon siya nagbabakasyon sa Earth. 

Isang taon na doon siya lagi tuwing bakasyon. Minsan ay nagtatampo na ako dahil hindi na kami nagkakasama, pero kapag nandito naman ay bumabawi siya. 

He would take us all out, then he would tell us stories about what he's doing on Earth.

I smirked at the thought, remembering that I told him that he would eat his words when it comes to love.

"One hour 'til departure." The man's voice echoed through the vehicle when Mom and I arrived at the jumping spot.

I held my Mom's hands when I noticed that she was shaking. 

"Can you do this, Mom?" I cannot hide the worry in my voice.

"Oo naman, anak. Saka, para naman sa'yo kaya ko siya kakausapin," she reassured me but I didn't bought it.

I didn't buy it because I'm feeling the same way she's feeling. 

I'm scared. Terrified, even.

Alam ko sa sarili ko na kahit pap'ano ay um-okay ako dahil sa therapy, pero ang harapin ang lalaking nanakit sa'min parehas ni Mommy?
