Camila was waiting for me in the shop and pretending not to know that I bought her something. I noticed that she's carrying a small bag with her too. We definitely enjoyed that lovely French afternoon over coffee, and crepes before having our last dinner in Paris. We rented some bikes as well and biked around the city the whole afternoon before tiring ourselves and went back to the hotel.

That night we dressed up and I put on the necklace box on my suit pocket to surprise her over dinner and wore my shiny new tie clip and cufflinks. We walked to the next block where they're serving excellent pasta, champagne and some Norwegian oysters. Of course I brought my camera with me, and every corner here is picturesque, of course Camila was in almost all of it.

During our dinner, I can't help but notice how she smelled. She was wearing the perfume she knew I loved on her so much.

"Camila, since your birthday will be on the day we're flying home, why don't we celebrate it here in Paris?" I said. As I got the box of necklace and earrings that I bought earlier that day.

I opened the box and showed her the shining necklace and earrings. Her jaw dropped upon seeing it. It was not too flashy and just had a carat of emerald. Diamonds still don't look good for her age. She'll look like my mamita if she wore big ones and several of them on a single necklace. She can wear this everyday if she wants to.

"Shall I put it on you?" I asked her. She was still speechless after seeing her birthday gift from me. I stood up behind her and clasped the necklace on her neck. Her scent captivated me. I kissed her cheek and let out a deep sign after putting her necklace on.

"You like what you smelled, Pancho? I got four more bottles from Chanel. I also got something for you that I would like you to wear." She replied jokingly. Of course I do like it. It made want to do things to her right here.

"Thank you for this, my love. I love you." She said, and then leaned over from her table to kiss me. I think we won't be needing the oysters anymore.

I woke up the next day with a smile on my face knowing how much my wife loves me. I felt the cool sheet around my body and heard sounds around our luggage, I stood behind her and observed what she's doing.

"Oh god, Pancho! You startled me! Close your eyes!" She said. Oh, she has something for me.

"Is that a costume?" I joked.

"You don't need to do Moulin Rouge on me. I love you no matter what." I added. Then the both of us laughed.

She got something from her bag and showed it to me. My eyes were still closed when she handed something to me. It seemed like a book.

"Surprise! I know how much you love F. Scott Fitzgerald. I got you a signed copy from the bookstore." She said, I looked like a kid given a bar of chocolate from her gift. Fitzgerald's my favorite author!

"Wow! Camila, this is too much! It's not my birthday." I said, then I smelled the book after. I just loved how those books smell. Then read what's written on the blank page that had brown spots on them.

"Thank you, old sport.

- F. Scott Fitzgerald. Hollywood, 1935."

I'm freaking out because it's like I am Fitzgerald's friend even if I'm not. I can't believe this!

"Well consider it as your birthday gift." She said.

"Gifts or without gifts, you will always be a gift to me." I replied. Then held her hips and planted a kiss on her.

"Then, consider this is your gift here in Paris." She said, then she removed her robe and walked seductively towards the shower tub.
