15 | fundraiser

— TODAY WAS THE MINISTRIES annual fundraiser where wizards across the country could some and take part in games and activities to raise money for important things. The money went towards schooling, St. mungo's, keeping the wizarding streets clean and many other things. Isabella always thoroughly enjoyed the fundraisers and always had a bucket load of fun.

It would be even better this time because she had more people to go with her. Usually it was just her and Paul and it was fun but they could've done with more people. She wore simple stuff for that day seen as she was going to be running around a lot. She put her hair up in a tight pony tail at the top of her head and she already couldn't wait to get it out. She skipped down the stairs and over to the living room where Harry and James stood waiting for her.

They decided that apparating there would be the quickest and easiest option and Sirius, Remus and Paul would meet them there. "Ready to go?" James asked her making her nod. He held out his hand for her to take so that they could all apparate together seen as Harry wasn't able to do so on his own yet. Within seconds the horrible feeling of their bodies being pulled began, thankfully it didn't last long before they landed in a large field filled with activities.

"This looks better than last year" Isabella sighed thankfully. The previous year had been a bit of disaster as they forgot to put a spell on the ground and it ended up becoming marshy and boggy and people were losing their shoes in the mud. Music played loudly as people ran around the field in every direction to get to the next activity with their friends.

As Isabella examined the field Paul spotted her in the distance and decided that it was the perfect opportunity to scare the shit out if her. He snuck around behind her and ended up getting spotted by Harry. Paul rose a finger to his lips making the young boy smirk and turn around again, acting as though he had seen nothing. Paul quietly and stealthily snuck up on her before screaming her name in her ear which made her jump about a foot in the air.

"Paul!" She screamed, slapping his arm as hard as she could, holding a hand over her racing heart. "Ow" He laughed, holding his arm. "What did you do that for, you nearly gave me a heart attack" She sighed but couldn't help but crack a smile when she heard James and Harry laughing. "You know I can't resist scaring you, it's a far too easy task" He laughed. "Twat" She mumbled under her breath, shaking her head.

"Have you seen Sirius and Remus anywhere?" James asked Paul who quickly nodded. "I saw them over at the fun run area I'm pretty sure but we can go and check" Paul told him. Paul led the group over to where he saw the couple earlier and sure enough they were still there arguing over something. "No moony! We should definitely get her this one" Sirius whined loudly as he held up a teddy bear with a shirt on it that said 'girl boss'.

This seemed to be a regular occurrence for this couple. Arguing over what to get Isabella or who was going to give Isabella their gift. Like with the flowers they got her when they first came to her house. They stood in the flower section of Tesco's for a good half an hour as they argued over who's bunch of flowers were better. In the end they went with Sirius's flowers but that was only with the bargain that Remus got to give them to her which Sirius wasn't overly happy about.

"What are you two arguing about now?" Harry questioned as the group reached the duo. "Nothing" Sirius said quickly, a smile speedily appearing on his face. "Bella, this is for you" Sirius handed Isabella the bear he was holding earlier and subtly smirked at Remus smugly before handing money over to the man at the booth. "Thank you Sirius, I love it" She laughed as she looked down at the bear.

"Bella, can we do the fun run?" Harry asked making Isabella look down at him. "It's probably best we do that last buddy, there's a lot of surprises in there" Isabella told him, knowing that if they did that now they would be a mess for the rest of their time. "Okay, well can we go on the Zorb balls?" Harry asked making her nod.

Harry cheered and ran over to a massive big pool on the middle of the field. This activity was Paul's idea to put in and they had never done it before but it seemed to be a favourite. Isabella and her eagle eyes immediately noticed a few reporters subtly surrounding the pool, obviously wanting to get pictures of her. Over the past few weeks she's tried to not be so bothered about what they write about her. She knows it's all a bunch of shit either way.

On the bright side, there are some really nice reporters who always shine her in a good light which makes everything that bit better. She's also come to realise thanks to her new found friendships that not everyone actually hates her, helping her gain some confidence that she desperately needed in that area of her job. With that new found knowledge she had talked to more and more people who supported her and found there was loads of people who were part of that group which made her heart warm at the thought.

After waiting in the queue for a good while it was finally they're turn and lots of people had gathered after hearing that Isabella was going to take part. Harry got into one first and then the adults made their way into the Zorb balls. Isabella struggled to keep her balance as she stumbled around on the water inside the ball. She couldn't help but laugh as she tried to gain her balance. But that all went to pit when James bumped into her knocking her onto her butt.

She looked up at James who looked like he was killing himself with laughter. This gave Isabella the power she needed to stand up in the ball and make her way over to him to knock him over. She cheered in victory when's he managed to do get her payback. The group of five continued with their battle of knocking each other over as many times as they possibly could before their times was over and it was onto the next activity.

They went skating for their next activity and found out that Paul was a terrible skater. He clung onto the wall like his life depended on it as his legs slipped from under him. Harry had no worries about falling over as he had a little push penguin that he could hold on to but unfortunately he didn't have that for much longer when Paul came along and took it from him.

They did loads more activities like a silent disco, a mini-Olympics and karaoke. However, now it was time for what Harry had been waiting for. The fun run. "Be prepared to get messy" Isabella told James who smiled down at her. "If mess is in involved Harry will love it and Sirius will hate it, for some reason he's decided to wear his most expensive and favourite leather jacket" James informed Isabella whose face fell slightly.

"Should we tell him to take it off?" Isabella asked but before they could tell him the bell rang signalling for them to start running. Sirius was off like lightning before Isabella could warn him. "Sirius! You're jacket!" She shouted hoping he'd hear her but it was too late, a bunch of coloured powder was poured on top of him. They watched Sirius' reaction closely and were surprised when he laughed. James and Isabella ran over to him where they were also covered in the powder.

"Good thing I have a spare" he said as he took his jacket off and chucked it to the side before beginning to run again. "What a man" James shook his head as Isabella looked at Sirius dumbfoundedly as he ran off into the distance with Harry, Paul and Remus. Soon enough James and Isabella ran after them.

They all got covered in bubbles, mud, multicoloured paints and powders. When they finally escaped they all looked like they had been pooped out of a unicorn.
