Lights Out

Chapter 3

Alyssa's P. O. V

I immediately ran outside the closet and saw Chelsea.
Wait, if Chelsea is outside then who was inside?

"Hey! I won!" Chelsea grinned proudly.
"Chelsea, who was inside?" I know she mightn't know who was there, but I just couldn't help but ask. I feel so afraid.

"It was Judy", Chelsea replied.
"Chelsea, say the truth.
I'm done with this nonsense." I nearly shouted.

"It was Judy! I'm not lying!" Chelsea said.
"I had enough of Judy! Judy isn't real!" I shouted more loudly.
Chelsea started crying.

I instantly felt utterly guilty for shouting at her.
So I hugged her.

"I'm sorry baby, I didn't mean to shout at you." I apologized. When I pulled away, She nodded.

The next day
At school

It was my first day at my new school.
When I walked in, I felt everyone staring at me with weirdness in their eyes.

I searched for my locker and found it.
I put my books inside when I felt a pat on my shoulder. I turned around and it was a blond girl.

"Hey, your new here, right?" She smiled warmly.
"Yeah?" I retorted in a questioning manner.
"what's your class?"
I looked down at my schedule and saw that my class is A.
"A." I replied
"It's mine too. I'll lead you there."

Then we both started walking to class.

"What's your name?" She asked.
"Alyssa. Yours?"
"Rose. It's nice to meet you, Ally.
Um, can I call you that?"

I nodded my head. Luckily, I have atleast one friend instead of being alone.

"Hey Rose," a boy greeted her.
"Hey Liam, this is Alyssa, my new friend.
Alyssa, this is my friend Liam." Rose introduced.

"Hi," I said a bit timidly.
"Hi." he shook my hand.

After school

"Hey guys, how about you both visit me tonight since mom and dad will be outdoors?" I suggested.

"Sure, that would be great." Rose smiled.

Time skip to when they came over

When the doorbell rang, I stood up and opened the door.
It was Rose and Liam.

"Hey Ally," Rose waved at me smilingly.
"Hey Rosie." I smiled back.

"So what do we do now?" Rose asked as she jumped on the couch.
"I have no idea what to do." I said.
"Hey, I have an idea." Liam smiles wide.

"What?" me and Rose asked in unison.
"Let's tell horror stories. Rose knows a horrific one."

"Turn off the lights. Tonight, Rose is going to scare the hell out of you." Rose said jokingly.

The three of us sat down in a circle form, putting a piece of fabric on our heads and lighting a torch.

"Once upon a time, there was a girl named Judy"
Wait, Judy? The same name Chelsea named her imaginary friend. I shrugged it off, maybe it's just a coincidence.

"Her classmates and almost everyone in her school scoffed at her and made fun of her. They called her 'loser' and 'loner' and also 'ugly'. It was said that Judy had a mutilated skin because her skin burned in a fire. One day, some sinister spirits showed up to Judy and they kept telling her 'catch them, kill them' over and over again. Judy then became sinister and did a big sin.. She killed her parents and her sister. She recorded a video of the crime and then she kept watching her video over and over again with the spirits. Since then, some kids saw her in the dark. She only appears in dark."

Chills ran down my spine as I listened to Rose's story.
This story is scary, and it's not really appropriate to tell this story in darkness, and in night.

Suddenly, we heard the recorder play on, by ITSELF!
We got out of our hideout.

"What's that?" I asked, sickeningly scared.
"Don't worry, Ally. It's just the radio." Liam said comfortingly.

"What's that door? It looks abandoned." Rose asked, pointing at the basement door.
"The cellar door, It's abandoned because I actually went there once only", I replied with honesty.

"Okay.. To complete our scary night, how about we go there?" Rose smiled devilishly.
Actually, It was an ordinary cellar but I couldn't help but feel uneasy and uncomfortable with the idea of going there.

The three of us went there, each one of us using their phones searchlight.
The dusty scent made us cough.
I went in the basement only one time when I was playing hide and seek with Chelsea, but I didn't focus on how it looked.

"Wow, it's so dark here." Rose said.
"Hey, what's that?" Liam pointed at something.
It was a mark drawn in blood.

"What's this?" I asked confusingly.
"I don't know, but it looks vaguely familiar." Rose said, looking perplexed.

I spotted a box at a one of the corners.
I walked towards it and opened it.
There was many films inside. Also some drawings, documents, clippings and also newspapers but they were torn.

"Hey Ally, what did you find?" Rose questioned, walking up to me.
"I have no clue, but I guess it's some stuff that belongs to the previous residents." I said thoughtfully.

"Alyssa, you shouldn't mess with other people stuff, isn't it? And if you touched any of this films, I'll kill you."
