Lights Out

Chapter 6

Alyssa's P. O. V

"Don't tell me you believe in ghosts or something like that." Rose said with disbelief in her eyes.
"No, I don't believe in paranormal activities. But I just feel that something is wrong with the house and Chelsea." I said with a sigh.

The suddenly, we heard the ring of the ambulance.

"I will go and check on Chelsea." I told Rose.
I was worried about Chelsea.
"Okay so see you later." Rose waved and I waved back at her and left.

The ambulance was in front of our house.
I felt more worried that something would've happened to Chelsea.. Or Lisa.

When I approached the ambulance, I saw Lisa on the ambulance stretcher.
She looked so distraught like the life was sucked out of her.

"Lisa? What happened?" I asked her as I walked along with the stretcher.
"S-Sh-She... W-was.. There.."
I felt completely confused by her statement, who is she?

The next day night

"I don't know what's happening to us.
Firstly, Chelsea acting weird. Secondly, me seeing a spooky girl. Thirdly the babysitter Lisa being taken to a mental hospital.
This is totally insane.
Now I don't only feel uneasy, but also scared." I said to Rose as we both walked on the pavement.

"Maybe it's your imagination." Rose shrugged.
"No, it's not. Even Lisa saw it.
I think I'll have to enlist help from a priest." I replied back.
"Oh, Ally. Your gonna perform an exorcism?" Rose looked at me, shocked.
"I don't know. Maybe." I shrugged my shoulders as we both crossed the street.

I stopped in my tracks in the middle of the street when I spotted the same girl who I had seen in the window.
She did the same motion she did the first time I saw her.

"Hey, who are you?" I shouted.
But before I could process anything, I noticed Rose screaming and telling me that a car wad going to hit me.

When I looked to my left, the car crashed into me.
Everything fades into black.

When I woke up, I found myself in a black world.
There was the exact same girl.
This time she wasn't shushing someone, but she whispered “Diana...”.

My eyes fluttered open when the vision ended.
I was in the hospital, doctors were around me.
They were giving me shocks to bring my heart back to life.
My vision was blurry and I could barely see anyone.

After they ensured that my heartbeats are regular, they took me to a hospital bed.
I realized that they had put a neck collar on my neck.

I could barely hear the muffled conversation with mom and dad talking to the doctor.
I felt overwhelmed, stressed and tired.
What happened? It's like my memory was erased.

The lights flickered.
I shuddered as the lights went off.
I grabbed my phone which was on the bedside table. I highlighted it on the doorway of the room.

I tried sitting in an upright position to see what was there.
It was a creature which was sitting on it's hands and knees.
I gasped as the sight was horrifying.

When it looked at me, it started coming towards me.
It was going to jump on me but I lit the torch of my mobile.
The girl disappeared.

The lights turned on again.
I stood up and ran out of the room.

"Alyssa? What are you doing? You've to stay in bed!" Dad said.
"No! I can't stay here! Can we go home?" I asked. "I'll be fine, I promise."

When Dad sighed, I knew that he agreed.
The doctor told him that I need medical attention but I kept looking at mom and dad with my pleading eyes.
The reason why I didn't want to stay here is; I don't want to leave Chelsea. And I felt scared to stay here alone.

I found a note on the floor.
I grabbed it and read it.
It said; she's going to follow you everywhere
