Part 44

Lisa lovingly held Jennie's hand as they walked down the street, hand in hand and her heart felt like it was filled with sweet honey. She never expected to be proposed to today. Fortunately, the makeup artist's skills were not bad and they used waterproof mascara. Otherwise, if Jennie saw her tear streaked face and dripping makeup, she would've looked like a crazy monster compared to the fairy-like Jennie.

Jennie naturally did not know about these random thoughts floating in Lisa's brain and her eyes kept glancing at the ring on Lisa's left hand from time to time. Although she had to pick out the ring under pressure due to a short time frame, it seems that it turned into a blessing in disguise as the ring was beautiful on Lisa's hand.

Beep! Beep!

At a little past seven, the phone buzzed with a message from Seulgi.

【Pokpak, where are you? Why haven't you arrived yet?】

Lisa stiffened for a few moments before she remembered she had agreed to eat dinner with Seulgi at seven. However, she had promptly forgotten about it after Jennie proposed to her. Her expression didn't change as she quickly texted back an excuse.

【Be there soon, Jennie is still changing. You gotta understand, for such an important day, one has to look their best.】

There was no reply on the other side but Jennie's phone started ringing and Lisa could only watch as she picked it up.

"Hello?" Jennie was surprised to see it was from Seulgi and glanced suspiciously at the nervous Lisa next to her before answering.

"Jennie, the private room at the bar has been booked already. So when are you and Lisa arriving?" Seulgi only knew Jennie via Lisa, but she had already figured out her personality to a certain extent. She knew that if Jennie had an appointment, she would definitely not arrive late, and definitely would not be taking her sweet time right now. Furthermore, she knew that Jennie did not drink, so she probably didn't know about the fact the agreed meeting palace was at a bar.

A few question marks appeared in Jennie's mind for she had no idea what Seulgi was talking about. She could only answer with a, "We'll be there soon."

The voice on the other side seemed a little frustrated as they replied, "Fine, make sure to drive safely."

Jennie hung up the phone and still felt in the dark as she looked at the guilty culprit in front of her, "Lin Cup said she booked a room at a bar and wanted us to meet there. So, why didn't you tell me about this in advance?"

Lisa felt alarm bells ringing in her head and hurriedly took out her phone to see an angry message, 【How dare you forget your friends, you lovestruck idiot!】[1]

Jennie watched as Lisa didn't reply and instead 'ignored' her for her phone. Feeling a bit dissatisfied, she started to frown a little.

"Jennie, it seems like my true nature has been revealed." Lisa sighed, a look of grievance on her face.

"Huh? What?"

"Seulgi has seen the true nature that I am," Lisa paused and then smiled, "an idiot who spoils their wife."

Jennie stared at her, directly into her eyes. She knew that Lisa was being shameless again, but it was still effective as her heart warmed up. She blushed, "What nonsense are you talking about again?"

"I've been wrongly accused!" Lisa hurried over and hugged the beauty's waist. She leaned close and whispered into her ears with a smile, "Actually, I prefer to talk dirty with you instead."

The hot breaths blew onto Jennie's ears, causing her to feel both a little itchy and hot. She looked around at the people walking past them. Fortunately, nobody was paying attention to the two of them.
