Part sixteen

Days past by after the party and Maya tried to call and text Carina but didn't get a respond.

The blond wasn't good at this, she wasn't good at any kind of relationships she had ever had. Normally she just didn't care en continued with her life, but with Carina it was different. She wanted to try everything so they can be "friends" again.

"God why isn't she responding at anything I send her" Maya said to Andy who was crashing at her apartment again

"You have to try harder.. go to her, explain yourself" de brunette said to Maya who was walking in the living room with her hand in her hair

"I don't think that I can Andy.. I probably can't talk at that moment"

"But I have to do that, right?.. yeah right" she answered herself making Andy laugh a little

"Ohhh I love to see you like this man.. In so much panic over a girl.. you are going to hear this so much now" Andy laughing harder now

As soon as Maya heard those words she walked to the couch and toke a pillow, throw it to her making Andy laugh even harder because of the blushing maya is doing right now

"Look at you.. this is the best thing ever" she said laying on the ground now hands on her stomach because she laughed so hard it hurts

The past few days it went worse with Carina, she didn't eat, she didn't drink.

Every half hour she stood on the scale to see if she has lost any weight yet. She was making herself crazy. So crazy.

She had to work today again and saw her phone light up again with a text from Maya. She didn't respond to it, she didn't even take a look at her texts. She wasn't interested to know how the sex with her ex lover Nicole was. It was fully clear to Carina that she wasn't her type.

Once she arrived at grey Sloan she could shut her feelings off. She was walking to another patient when she heard a male voice calling her.

"De Luca, pregnant women is coming in within 2 minutes. I think you should book an OR already. It doesn't look very good" Owen said to her

Owen was right, it wasn't good but Carina did everything she could to help her. After a couple of hours the women seemed stable. Just when she was about to finish she heard a phone in de room.

"Uhm dr. Deluca, someone is calling you" an intern said looking at the phone

"Who?"

"Maya Bishop"

"Decline please" Carina sighed and closed her eyes for a bit. Feeling a little bit better because she just saved this mother and her little bambino.

"Come on Carina.. pick up pick up pick up" Maya said to herself walking towards the fridge to get a drink

This is the voicemail of...

"Okay that's it, I'm coming to your work"
Maya said when the beep passed and spoke to her voicemail.

She grabbed two coffee at Starbucks and walked towards the hospital. Super nervous but she had to do this.
