Chapter 20

~In Paris~

Marinette and Gina had just finished watching and the two were asleep. Barry had planned to come back and say that he didn't want to leave them and that he had just called his boss and he said that he could take the week off.

When he super speeded back to the apartment he saw what would have been lunch and half melted ice cream sitting and from all the tissues he could assume that everything that had happened had finally hit them and they just cried it all out.

Barry quickly used his speed to clean up the mess and to put all the leftovers in the fridge for tomorrow or later tonight till then he put a blanket around both girls. And took a seat on the arm chair across from the couch.

He realised that he didn't have a room ready for Marinette in Central City other than a guest room which was practically empty except for a bed and a couple bathroom supplies.

So he used the time to shop online for supplies. The first thing was to finally put the spare room in his apartment to use. Iris was right he didn't know what a little girl needed so he texted Iris asking for what he should get for the main bits and then give  the final choice to Marinette.

In the end Barry had multiple room choices for Marinette's new bedroom when they got back to Central City. The two girls had been asleep on the couch for over an hour and they were clearly exhausted. Barry walked to the table and saw a checklist Gina had for everything that needed to be done for the funeral and it was set to be in 5 days exactly.

Everything was ticked off all that was left was to get things ready for Marinette to move to Central City and to change schools Barry thought of schools and had a look for that had to do with the arts or more specifically fashion. Barry had spent at least 10 minutes looking, thanks to super speed he could do everything quickly and seeing as no one had woken up they wouldn't see him using his powers.

He finally found one Central City school of arts, it had a primary school all the way to university and it was one of the best schools in the city. He heard someone yawn and saw Gina woke up and stretched. She saw him  and then looked away but then she did a double take and saw him sitting there. "Aren't you supposed to be in Central City now?" Gina asked, clearly surprised he was here and not half way across the way.

"I was about to book a ticket but then I realised that I was needed here more, so I called my boss and explained to him what happened and gave me a week off at most as I'm the only CSI at the station and crime never stops." Barry explained.

"Did you put all the food away and clean up after the mess we made?" Gian asked getting off the couch and wrapping the blanket around Marintte.

"Yeah, I Put it away so it didn't go bad." Barry said motioning towards the kitchen.

"While you guys were sleeping I had a look at some schools for Marinette that are in Central city and I found that it is about the arts and is well known for its fashion course, it also has everything from the 1st grade to university. What do you think?" Barry asked Gina and a smile made its way to her face.

"I think she would like that and if you do things like this you'll make a great dad." Gina told him and he was confused.

"If you think of what she wants and would like, I remember when Tom said he wanted to be a baker just like his father. He was so excited to teach his son everything he knew about baking and all the family traditions." Gina told Barry about her son.
