Evelyn POV:

The majority of the week had passed, and I was standing outside of Skye's apartment door with Mia at my side. Tuesday and Wednesday had been pretty ordinary days for me; I hadn't spoken to Miss O'Conner much, and I'm still undecided about whether I should call her by her teaching name or by her first name.

We just exchanged small awkward smiles as our eyes caught, but we both knew we wanted to say something but couldn't bring ourselves to say it.

Mia was the one who knocked on the apartment door while we waited for Skye to let us in; she opened the door with a small smile and gave us both a brief hug before allowing us in. I actually like the layout of her apartment; she was correct when she said they were similar, but there are some significant differences, such as the kitchen.

Skye sat down on her couch and motioned for me and Mia to join her. They both turn to me and give me a small smile once they've settled. "right, you and Raven, what's going on There?" Skye said first. Mia chimed in with an enthusiastic "spill!" Before returning to silence and waiting for me to begin.

"So, I'm guessing you guys sensed the tension between us over the last few days, right?" I looked at them both, already knowing the answer, and watched as they both nodded, "it's been pretty obvious to me and Skye, everyone else seems to be oblivious." Skye interjected in.

Before continuing, I hummed at the information. "It was like an instant attraction the first time I saw her, and I've tried to keep my distance and just act like a regular student and teacher, which was working...until Saturday."

I paused briefly to gauge their reactions. Mia suddenly shouts "I knew it!" While Skye slapped my shoulder lightly, "well dont stop there, what happened on Saturday!" I chuckled at their behavior before I cleared my throat

"Okay, so don't freak out, alright?" They both nodded while Skye raised her eyebrow, "just get on with it this suspense is killing us, Eve."

I nodded "well I was working my shift and this woman was flirting with me but I could tell someone was glaring at us both so when I turned my head to see who it was.. it was Miss O'conner and she did not look happy, not one bit. It felt a bit awkward having her watch me as this other woman flirted with me, so I decided to avoid the situation and clean the bathroom, but of course when I finished cleaning the last stall she was there leaning against the wall."

Before taking a breath, I paused. "She began interrogating me and accusing me of being impolite, and I think I made fun of her? I'm not sure, but the next thing I know, she's aggressively pinning me against the wall and getting in my face. I was so stunned that I didn't even react, but after a split second, it was as if she realised where she was and what she was doing, and she let me go before calling me Miss Baxter and walking away."

As I finished retelling Saturday's events, my chest felt slightly heavy. Skye looked slightly impressed after learning this information, and Mia's jaw dropped to the floor. "sweet little Miss O'conner, had you pinned up against a wall?" "I would've paid to see that, damn," she laughed.

Mia was still in shock as she processed the words, and then she yelled, making me and Skye jump, "SHE DID WHAT?!?" Skye and I both looked at her with wide eyes before she turned to glare at me and said, "AND YOU JUST LET HER WALK AWAY?!?"

I looked at her like a fish out of water "W-what? But she's a teacher, it's w-wrong?" She looks at me like I'm stupid "She's hot! And she looks at you like you're a piece of meat sometimes." I just look at her while blinking rapidly.

"Mia, are you sure you're straight?" Skye asks, chuckling at the two of us. Mia's face turns a tinge of red "Of course I am, don't be silly!" "Evelyn, I was just saying, you blew your chance." "Ugh, I don't know what to do." I murmured as I stared hopelessly at them both.

Skye looks at me sympathetically "I think you should just leave it for now, she's the one in power here so if she wants something to happen then she'll let it. Just try and avoid the situation for now,i think it will only bring you problems in the end. Unless she sits down and has a serious discussion with you about it, which I strongly doubt."

"She left you high and dry, I believe that's what the men say or I'm not sure, but you get what I'm trying to say!" Mia added, smiling sympathetically.

I nodded, slightly giggling at Mia's rant about her leaving me 'high and dry' which, by the way, is entirely true and so cruel! "Alright, I suppose taking a step back and attempting to resist my desire for her will be a good idea." They both gave us a nod before Mia went to Skye and narrowed her eyes slightly while pointing a finger at her.

"And, you! How about you, and miss cold eyes?" It took Skye and me a minute to realise what she was talking about, and when we did we both laughed. "I know I like her, but I'm pretty sure the feeling isn't mutual, so I'm fine with the concept of imagining us together and not actually being it," Skye said this time.

"Well, that's depressing," Mia scoffed, "you two are having a terrible time with significant others." Skye snorted, and we both agreed with a nod. "Couldn't have Said it any better myself, Mia."

She then narrowed her eyes at her "There will be no boyfriends for you! You're far too innocent and sweet!" "You can't have your heart broken," I added, as Skye nodded in agreement and Mia blushed at the words with a shy smile. "Okay! Okay. No boyfriend, for now.

The 'for now' wasn't approved in the slightest bit. "Hm, that's what we like to hear, we need to protect our little bean" she says.
