Chapter 18

.Josie Pov.

I stood up from the floor wiping the tears from my eyes and dusting myself off. Walking into my bathroom as I took shower embracing the warmth of the water on my skin.

The bruises that formed from August's men had already turned purple and blue I couldn't feel the pain from it yesterday cause of the pills Abigail gave me I could feel them wear off and they started to hurt immensely.

I finished taking a shower and I stood infront of the mirror in the bathroom seeing all the cuts , scars and bruises that had formed over the years made my eyes water I wanted to breakdown the longer I looked at myself but I felt the sadness turned into anger.

I changed Into my uniform even though I hated Mondays I had this new set of confidence that made me feel stronger. I put on some lip gloss and braided my hair into a fish braid and let it lay on the side of my shoulder. I put on a bit of concealer to hide the bruise that was left from Elliott slap rolling my eyes at how visible it was.

I walked out to my room making my bed taking my phone and bag as I walked downstairs going into the kitchen and instantly the tension around the room was deadly.

Every one of my brother's sat on the table they seemed almost ...scared that was new to see.

I saw down as the servers placed the breakfast on the table looking infront of me I saw a man I had never seen before in my life yet he looked so familiar. Everything around him screamed danger I should have probably been scared but with my plans nothing and no one would stop me not even that man

He looked at me up and down he seemed shocked and sad at first but he quickly covered it up with a devilish grin.

"Ahh Jessica finally came down for breakfast how'd you sleep princess"

"Its Josephine" his eyes never left mine those cold grey eyes could haunt my nightmares.

"Pardon me Josephine didn't mean to get the mix up on names anyway let's dig in shall we" he's voice was rough I picked at every part of his facial and muscular build.

The table was silent as they ate I simply pushed the plate away from me all the boys just stared at theirs like scared little rabbits who was this man that could make such devil boys shut up like this.

"Josephine Eat your food in this family we don't waste food" the man said as he took a sip of the water that was beside him.

"Oh so I'm allowed to eat whenever it suits you now no thanks wouldn't want me gaining weight right boys" repeating the words they told me the first few days that I had gotten here.

"This is my house and only my rules apply do you hear me now Eat"his stern eyes bored into me as I stood up from the table ready to leave.

"Sit the fuck down and finish the food boys leave us NOW" he Ordered them as they all left faster than the word go itself

"You will obey me you little girl I'm the boss around here if you don't you'll regret your existence dearly"though he seemed calm his flaring nostrils told me something else.

"I will never obey a stranger nor will I any man or woman who tells me too"

"I AM YOUR FATHER YOU WILL NOT GO AGAINST ME"

"I have no Father your merely just a stranger to me and let's keep it that way shall we" and with that I left for school.

I could see my brother's shocked faces from the corridor as I walked out I just rolled my eyes in annoyance and made my 45 minute walk to school.

If they wanted to treat me like I was nothing to them I'd show them what it felt like to be on the receiving end of the line.

I got a notification on my phone as it startled me I opened to see it was from Jasper..

I hadn't been on my phone much I was actually ignoring his messages. I was Greatful he saved and helped me but ever since I heard his parents talking I couldn't face him.

Did he know my mother was alive?

Were they planning to hurt me?

Were the only questions that ran through my mind each time I saw his notification.

I switched off my phone and carried on walking until I got to school everyone was already moving to classes already so I wasn't surprised to find some of the halls empty.

I quickly took out all the books I needed as I saw Jasper looking at me from the end of the hall his eyes were baggy I heard him call out my name as I walked away like I couldn't hear a thing.

Ignoring him and not talking to him made me miserable but I couldn't focus on that now I needed my full focus on taking them all down.

But seeing the pain in his eyes as I walked away torn me apart during the rest of the day yet everytime he was remotely near me I'd go off Running.

I wasn't sure if I was because of what I heard anymore..or was there another reason.

I hadn't seen Liam , Luna or Harper today cause most of my classes werent with them today but I hoped I'd see them at lunch.

The class I was in had just ended I was a bit slow packing my books since someone decided to throw them onto the ground making me huff i picked them up and left the classroom last I passed by the supply closet as I felt myself being pulled into it by a strong pair of arms before I could scream my mouth was covered.

I was scared that it was one of August's men again but the dim light flickered and I looked up to see ..Jasper

"Jasper why on Earth are you pulling me into supply closets." I angrily asked him as I crossed my arms.

"Why are you avoiding me"

"I'm not a-avoiding you, your being delusional" I was about to leave when he pulled my arm back to him bringing me closer to him.

He wrapped his arms around my waist as his lips were closer to mine as he looked at me my heart was racing this it felt right but was it really.

"Tua ut stupri Splendidis" the way he spoke made my legs feel like jelly.

"Stop Avoiding me Princess don't make me tell you this twice" making slightly blush as I was too stunned to speak he just smirked and left the closet.

What just happened??
