Josie POV

I woke up once again in the same room with the blaring sound of an alarm rang out throughout the room. I looked to the side of the bed there was an alarm clock standing there and it was 3:30 am.

Who the hell wakes up at 3 am

I heard a knock on my door and this time it wasn't the devil it was a woman with short strawberry blonde hair and a small faint smile.

"Morning Miss, King Jasper has ordered me to assist you in your formal duties in the Mansion"her voice was soft and kind but I could see the fear in her eyes.

I just nodded and got out of bed and I went to the bathroom quickly brushing my teeth and washing my face before I headed out. I saw a red short skirt on the bed with a almost seethrough red crop top.

"This is your uniform"the woman had nothing but pity in her eyes as she looked at me.

"Thank you"I put the pieces of cloth they called clothes on as I smiled at the woman

"So how long have-"before I could finish my sentence she just gently pulled me out the door.

We kept walking for a while until she lead me to the kitchen pantry. And lightly closed the door behind her. We walked to the back of the pantry and she had a small table with muffins and a cup of juice on it.

"We can talk here it's safer, everywhere else has cameras,sit sit dear you must be hungry"she said as she took a plastic and started filling it with food.

"Thank you , what's your name if you don't mind me asking"I took a bite if the muffin and it was heavenly it went from 2 bites to me finishing all of them.

"Minnie, My names Minnie and I already know yours miss Josephine"

"Just call me Josie please. How long have you been here "

"Since I was 17 it's a long story honestly. However long story short I've been looking after Jasper's family since my teens. I got pregnant when I was fairly young but I couldn't take care of the baby. I told the father of my child that I was pregnant and he took me to the abortion clinic instead when I told him about it he promised to make my life a living hell. And he did exactly that because I couldn't find a job anywhere I went. I graduated early luckily but while I was applying I got rejected almost every where for 3 months he made sure I suffered. So I came crawling back not for me but for my daughter. And he gave me a job to take care of his eldest son. And now I'm 26 with an 8 year old son."

"Wait Jasper's father is the father of your daughter??"

"Pretty much yes. He keeps me here because he knows I have no where else to go and even if I did it wouldn't be long before he went investigating and destroyed not only my son's life but mine and everyone else's."

"This place doesn't look child friendly though"

"It isn't, Riley is in boarding school I only get to see him twice a year. That's if I get permission early from the big bad wolf himself"

"You need permission to see your own son?"

"I need permission to breath at some point "

"What if I could say you could find a safe place to stay and you and your son would be safe and taken care of?"

"Sounds like heaven but I don't really see that happening. No one ever stands up to these people"

"That's because they haven't had me tamper with their lives just yet."
