Twenty Five - Kill Or Be Killed

"Wait the guy died? You killed him?" Tyler asks Derek

"He kept coming at me, got in his head that I was snitching on him and gaining my own money of his drugs" Derek says 

Erica had decided to go to the Lockwood mansion because Derek needed her when he told Tyler in how he activated the curse. She sat beside him as he explained everything to Tyler.

"Were you?" Tyler says 

"God no. I wouldn't do that. He was my friend. He was drunk and attacked me. It was self defence" Derek says 

"And it triggered the curse" Tyler says sadly 

"Yeah Tyler it did," Erica says as she holds Dereks hand as he looks at Erica then back to Tyler.

"On every full moon I lose control but not as much as dad. If we don't sedate ourselves and chain ourselves down then we'll kill anything and everything in our path. You have to be careful to not trigger the curse. All it takes is an accident, a car wreck. any death at your hands and you'll have a lifetime of this. You don't want it Tyler. Trust me" Derek says as Tyler nods and looks to Erica 

"And you knew Erica" Tyler says 

"Derek told me when we had a run in with Andrew and Derek's eyes started glowing," Erica says "I'm fine with it though"

Tyler nods as Derek looks to Tyler.

"So did you give my dad whatever he needed," Derek says 

"Yeah I gave the moonstone to him," Tyler says as Erica and Derek look to each other and then to Tyler

"Moonstone?" Erica says 

"It was passed from generation to generation in the Lockwood family" Tyler says

Erica nods as she heads home to see Jeremy there where they sat down and talked while Elena was with Stefan and Damon

"I can't believe Tyler Lockwood is a werewolf" Jeremy says 

"I'm not surprised, Mason is and he's his uncle also we don't know if he is or not," Erica says 

"That should be easy to figure out" Jeremy says as Erica looks to her brother

"There is no us jer. Elena she hides things from me and you but I promised you that I wouldn't keep things from you but that's doesn't mean I want you involved" Erica says 

"By definition of this family I'm involved" Jeremy says 

"Fine I'll think about it but it's dangerous Jeremy" Erica says 

"Say the person who's dating a Lockwood werewolf" Jeremy says making Erica gasp 

"Oh you," she says as she hits Jeremy with a pillow making him laugh as he hits Erica back.

Later that day at the historical memorial park, all the town is gathered together to help put it together. As Elena and Caroline were painting, Erica was planting flowers.

"Eri come with me," Damon says walking over 

"Why," Erica asks standing up
