Baby Blanket

I once had a blanket
One made by my mother
When I was a baby.
I carried it everywhere
No matter the time or place
I couldn't be away from it
I was so attached.

This blanket I hold
Is no longer a blanket
A single string I have left to carry.

Sleeping and carrying it everywhere I went since I was born took a toll on it
People took peices
Ripped it
Even cut it.
They were cruel
They didn't allow me to have the one thing I loved

Everywhere and everyone I've ever seen
Has a peice of that blanket
Oh how I wish I could go and undo my mistake
My mistake of having it with me so closely
So that everyone could ruin it.
