Y/N’s POV

I snapped out of thought when I heard my front door open. It was probably Y/BFF/N coming in to check up on me and see whether I was still alive or not. A face poked around the door and a genuine smile appeared on my lips.

Finn’s POV

“Finn.” she said looking from under her comforter. She looked as if she had been crying for days now and I think that it was a good thing I came to visit her. She was the girl… she was my friend. “I’d ask how your doing but I know it’s a pointless question.” I smiled sitting on the edge of her bed. “Well at least you got that. I swear…” she started off on a rant about people coming to check up on her and even if I tried, all I could do was look at her. She was so beautiful. She’ll never be yours. Shut up. Why can’t you get it? She could. “Finn?” a voice broke through my thoughts. I looked into Y/N’s Y/Eye/C and I felt myself lost in them. “Finnnnnn?” she whined again realising I wasn’t paying attention. "Sorry, what were you saying?" I answered, my cheeks flushing.

Y/N's POV

"Sorry, what were you saying?" Finn answered, his cheeks flushing. "I was saying that I was kind of tired of the city, I wanted to leave everything behind and clear my mind. Just you and me... What do you think?" I repeated, laying my head on his shoulder. He put his arm around my waist, pulling me closer to him. "Yeah, I'd like that. I know a place we could go... Our parents used to bring us there when we were children. It's a town called Truro, it's really gorgeous there and I'm pretty sure it's close to the ocean." He spoke looking off into the distance. We stayed in silence on my bed for a while, both in our own thoughts. Finn moved first and that's when we realised that it was dark out. I guess we didn't realise it was dark out yet. "When do we leave?" He asked, breaking the silence. "How about now?" I offered quietly. He looked into my eyes and something stirred inside me. "Well, let's go then." He got up and left the room so I could get dressed. The room felt so empty without him.

It took me about 10 minutes to get ready and I found Finn in my living room, staring out the window. He hadn't turned any lights on, he just sat there in the dark. You could see the city really well from where my apartment was situated. The cities lights shone in the night making only Finn's outline visable. I didn't say anything, I just looked at him. I shifted my weight and he must have heard me since he turned around to look at me. I smiled at him and he got up, took my hand. We walked out of the apartment and headed to the car. I got into the passener side and he took the driver's seat. We drove the 4 hours and 30 minutes in complete silence, me looking out the window and him focussing on the road. It was a good silence, not awkward at all. This is when I treasured moments with Finn.
