I plonked down on my bed. I was exhausted. Today had been everything except relaxing. Demi nestled in against me. She still smelt of alcohol, it was disturbing. I drifted off into a deep sleep but was shortly woken up by Demi's phone vibrating. I was too exhausted to move but I felt her weight shift off the bed and she answered her phone with a soft "hello."

I was in and out of sleep. Attempting to stay awake though my eyes wouldn't let me. I opted to get out of bed but stopped suddenly when I heard Demi say "her names Selena."

I shouldn't have but I couldn't help but listen to her conversation. "She is love. She is the sunrise at 5am, she is the sunset at 6pm. Not everyone loves to look at her but fuck, I do." I smiled to myself. "You can't compare her to the most beautiful sight in the whole world because nothing comes close to describing the way she can make your breath hitch in your throat just by looking at you. I could sit here and tell you how I love the way she calls me names and I love every second of it because I know that she loves me and I know that she can't stay mad at me."

I laid there and thought about the first time I ever called her something bad. She was sat across from me and she was staring at me. I narrowed my eyes at her and asked her what she was looking at. She looked at me with the most serious look and said "something ugly." I knew she was joking but I was still shocked and all that come out of my mouth was "what. You..you fucking asshole." I then sat back in shock at what I had just called her. Not long after we both burst out laughing. I'll never forget that.

I continued to listen to her conversation, pretending to be asleep. "I can sit here and tell you that she will say bye to me and five seconds later talk to me again because she can't stay away from me, but I can't stay away from her either, nor can I stay mad at her. She's more refreshing then the first sip of your morning coffee and she's more beautiful than any sunrise or sunset in the whole world." She sighed loudly. "She's more beautiful than a full moon reflecting on the ocean. She's my person, and my only person. The only soul that I could see myself falling completely into. The only person who could make me feel safe and the only person who could flip my whole world upside down with something as little as smiling at me." My heart skipped a beat at this. Maybe I could be Demi's cure? She continued talking to whoever was on the other end of the phone. "She is everything, the stars, the moon, the whole fucking universe. Absolutely everything. Nothing can ever compare to her. She is pure love."

I knew right at that moment that there way no turning back. She was definitely it for me. She was the person I envisioned spending my life with. She was the person I would have kids with, the person I would wake up to every morning, the person that would take away all of my worries, the person I would grow old with. Without a doubt, she was the person who held my heart in the palm of her hands and I trusted her not to break it.

I climbed out of bed after I heard her say her goodbyes. "Who was that?" I asked as I yawned.

"My mum." She smiled proudly.

"I'll have to meet her one day." I said simply as I smiled at her.

"Yeah, you will." She half smiled at me.

It was our day off and Demi had spent the entire day scribbling in her notepad. I giggled every time she ripped a page and scrunched it up to throw it in the bin that was already full of pages. I also giggled every time she got frustrated and ran her fingers through her long brown hair.

"FINALLY!" She yelled, almost giving me a heart attack.

I laughed. "What have you been doing this whole time, Dee?"

She bit her lip and her eyes flicked around the room. "I was, uh, writing a song." She smiled. "For you."

"Alright, let's hear it?" I smirked.

She stood up to grab her guitar before sitting beside me on my bed. Her fingers began to lightly strum as her angelic voice filled the room.

Little do you know
How I'm breaking while you fall asleep
Little do you know
I'm still haunted by the memories
Little do you know
I'm trying to pick myself up piece by piece

Little do you know
I need a little more time

Underneath it all I'm held captive by the hole inside
I've been holding back for the fear that you might change your mind
I'm ready to forgive you but forgetting is a harder fight

Little do you know
I need a little more time

I'll wait, I'll wait
I love you like you've never felt the pain,
I'll wait
I promise you don't have to be afraid,
I'll wait
The love is here and here to stay
So lay your head on me

Little do you know
I know you're hurting while I'm sound asleep
Little do you know
All my mistakes are slowly drowning me
Little do you know
I'm trying to make it better piece by piece

Little do you know
I, I love you 'til the sun dies

Oh wait, just wait
I love you like I've never felt the pain,
Just wait
I love you like I've never been afraid,
Just wait
Our love is here and here to stay
So lay your head on me

I'll wait, I'll wait
I love you like you've never felt the pain,
I'll wait
I promise you don't have to be afraid,
I'll wait
The love is here and here to stay
So lay your head on me
Lay your head on me
So lay your head on me

'Cause little do you know
I, I love you 'til the sun dies

With tears pelting down my cheeks, I grabbed her guitar and sat in on her bed. I walked back over to her and crashed my lips onto her. She fell backwards and I fell on top of her, not breaking the kiss once.

"I'm ready." I husked.
