Harsh but the reality is that you are lonely,

Easy to say you come alone, you go too,

But what about the life in between, should it be so?

Lucky are those who have a companion,

Someone for life, someone to be a shoulder,

Blessed are those who know to strive alone,

But then a lot of us who are alone and drowning,

The one's pulled to the ocean without the art of swimming,

And no lifeguards or lone boat to save,

Some learn at the last minute, strive to life,

People call it will, true- a gift,

But some just drown, and needless to add,

They drown alone, even when there is a lot drowning.

And thus the lonely strive, sometimes an endless dive,

And yet we have no option but to jump in and try.

Maybe you'll get a broken boat's plank,

Pray, sometimes destruction gives you life.

And just maybe you'll find that mate, one hand forever

And that's the end of the loneliness in your strive.
