"Shawn stop going easy on me!"
I exclaimed after Shawn had bowled his fifth gutter ball in a row.
As he took his seat he crossed his arms and grinned up at me.
"Maybe I suck at bowling."
He told me, I shook my head and giggled.
"Ya right, I've seen you bowl before, your not this bad."
I told him, he chuckled and stared down the lane for a moment.
"Fine, maybe I was just being a gentlemen to my girlfriend."
He told me, I smiled and picked up the red ball I had been using for the past hour.
"And now it's game on."
He told me, I met his hazel eyes before I stepped into position.
I swung the ball, and hit the pins straight down the middle, a strike.
"Okay."
Shawn said, he got up and took the 12 pound green ball he had been playing with.
He swung hard and hit a strike as well taking me by surprise.
"Well, not bad."
I told him, he grinned.
We spent the rest of the day talking, laughing and bowling.
Eventually we ordered a pizza and took it to a booth in the corner of the bowling alley, bustling New Yorkers surrounded us.
