Scott McCall walked into the hospital with Luna on his hip and a bag of food in his hand. Luna smiled as she pulls fries out of her pocket. Scott smiles watching his pup pull put her hidden fries and shove them in her mouth.
"Oh, thank God. I'm starving." Melissa says grabbing the bag out of her sons hands but slightly laughed at her sons face," Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Thank you for bringing me dinner."
"Is everything okay?" Scott asks look at the commotion and clenching Luna closer to his chest.
"Except for half the accident victims in a ten car pile-up being rerouted here from downtown, and the E.R. attending not answering any of his pages, yeah, I'm okay" Melissa says sarcastically as Scott scrunched his face confused.
"What does not answering pages mean?" Scott ask placing the little girl down, once Luna was placed down she ran to the front desk and waved to the lady who smiled at waved at her.
"It means that nobody can find him, so now we have to wait for the on call to get here." His mom answered watching Scott smile at Luna who was spinning is circles.
"Miss." A lady asked who was just sitting down
" Yes?"
"Excuse me, can I kind of please have something for the pain?"
"Okay, I'm sorry. I know. But, actually, giving you something could complicate things, so we really just need to wait for the doctors. Okay?" Melissa says as Luna looks up at the girl who sat back down, Luna's eyebrows frown and her nose twitch.
"Yeah. Okay. How much longer on Dr. Hilyard?" the lady ask as Luna made her way to the lady.
"Ten minutes." Luna put her tiny hand on the lady's hand. The lady smiled at the little girl and looked at Scott and Melissa who were smiling at the little girl. Luna was taking away her pain.
"Uh, you know, I think that I read online that sometimes human contact can help with pain." Scott said but was interrupted by a call for help.
"Someone Someone help me! Oh, I need help!" Luna's head went up as she smelt Ethan. Her eyes glowed blue once she saw Danny in his arms. Scott and Luna ran to their aid as Melissa call the doctor.
"What did you do to him? - " Scott began but was interrupted by Ethan
"Nothing. He said he was having chest pains and trouble breathing, but it it just kept getting worse. " Ethan says defending himself. Luna looked in his eyes and saw an emotion she was saw in her old pack. Scared.
"This is not good. How much longer on Dr. Hilyard?" Scott asked looking at his mom and feeling a pain in his chest, he looks at Luna who has tears in her eyes. He bent down and picked her up to smooth her.
"His larynx has shifted to the side. I think it's a tension pneumothorax. " Melisa says looking at Danny
"Mistletoe."
"Can you three please go back to the waiting room?" Melisa asked looking at the three wolfs that stood there.
"Where are the nurses and the doctors? Where is everyone?" Scott ask still rubbing Luna's long hair that he couldn't let himself to cut.
"It's a full house tonight. They're tending to other patients. " Melissa says not taking her eyes off of the sick kid.
"Okay, well, mom, how can we help? "
"Honey, you can't. His lung is collapsed. His heart is being pushed against his chest cavity."
"so He's gonna die, isn't he?" Luna mumbles remembering the times she spent with Melissa at the hospital. Her eyes got watery and her lips stuck out.
