Shawn's perspective

It's a typical stupid party with a lot of alcohol, sweaty bodies dancing against each others, and bad loud music. This kind of parties is totally boring and useless, but I still came anyway apparently...

I came to this house with two of my friends, but soon enough, they disappeared into the mass of people dancing under the colorful lights which give a headache to people who drink too much. I don't want to dance so I just walk to the kitchen to get something to drink. I'm telling myself a fresh beer is enough for now so I grab one from the fridge and open it. I take a quick sip and look around me, only to see strangers making out and drunk people tripping at each step. I run a hand through my hair and sigh before going back to the living room.

I eventually find someone sober to talk to. It's one of the host's friends. He's pretty cool. We talk for 20 minutes or so before he decides to go check if everybody is okay in the backyard.

Once I'm alone again, I watch the crowd. I look at every single person until I find a girl. I know that girl. Her back's facing me, but I still can recognize her.

Y/N Y/L/N.

This girl used to drive me crazy when we were in highschool together. We were good friends, but we didn't keep in touch after she found a jealous and possessive boyfriend. She ditched everybody for him because she thought he was the right one for her, which he wasn't.

I look her up and down. Slightly curly hair, skin-tight dress making her look gorgeous, and high heels -which are probably killing her feet- enhancing her silhouette. She is breath-taking, perfect.

I take another sip of my new bottle of beer and look once again at her. Suddenly, her eyes meet mine as she looks over her shoulder. She instantly smiles at me and I smile back at her. She doesn't stop dancing to come greet me though, she has always been like that. She knew I was craving her when she started dating this guy, and she knows I'm still craving her right now.

She moves her hips to the rhythm of the music, and I can't help but bite my lower lip. God, the affect she has on me... She notices it and smirks before looking back to her friend who's dancing next to her. I see her talking with that girl, and I get a bit nervous as she starts to walk in my direction.

"Shawn !" She says a bit too loud and hugs me, pressing her chest against mine.

I'm quite surprised so I don't hug her back at first, but after a few seconds, I wrap my arms around her perfect body to greet her too.

"Y/N. How's life going ?" I ask and try to seem polite.

"Great !" She giggles, and a smell of alcohol makes its way to my nose. She's probably as drunk as all the other people in this house.

"Still with... What's his name ? Zach ?" I question her.

She takes the bottle from my hand and drinks the rest of the beer before shrugging.

"No... He was a real bastard. I don't even know why I thought he loved me. We broke up 6 months ago."

I try to hide a smile and nod.

"And what about you ? Do you have someone ?" She manages to ask me after a few attemps.

I shake my head from left to right.

"No time for that at the moment." I shrug.

She slightly smiles and grabs my hand in her tiny one. I furrow my eyebrows, not understanding what she's doing, but her smile prevents me from asking.

"C'mon. Let's get something to drink."

I follow her in the kitchen, where all the bottles of liquor are, even if she really doesn't need another drink. She pours some liquor in two glasses and hands me one of them.
