Vál walked behind Harald and Halfdan but kept herself infront of their men. Both of them had peeked over their shoulder to look at their addition to their group but Vál decided to focus on the surroundings instead of their gazes. All she could see was trees and greens, barely not able to contain her excitement to see what they all had came for and kept mentioning; Paris. She didn't understand the plan Rollo had planned. If they had a wall and stood high up with potentially a lot of men with bows it would rain from the sky; killing them in a rapid pace.

"What?" Harald asked her and she looked at him with a frown.

"You snorted." He answered her unasked question.

"Am I the only one thinking this is a pretty shitty plan? I mean I haven't been to battle but I'm not completely incapable of thinking logically." Vál almost spat. "We'll fail, you don't need to have participated in a lot of battles to understand their advantage of the height and the amount of men." She continued and they remained silent as she watched up with them, waling alongside them. "I'd do anything to stand upon a wall."

"You don't trust Rollo?" Harald asked and she snorted again.

"I don't trust anyone who practically had planned my potential death." She mumbled and they both laughed.

"It's only water and fens on the other side, last time we went by the ocean this time we're on ground. It's also quite the distance from dry land to the walls by the fens." Harald answered and she rolled her eyes.

"Gods, now you sound like Björn." She started. "But you don't need to be that close with a bow to create some damage." She added and they raised their brows.

"What would you do then Vál?" Halfdan asked and she shrugged. Oil. Her father had talked about oil when she was a young girl. She had been amazed by the stories when her father had talked about the huge explosion of raging fire when hitting a barrel filled with the rare liquid.

"It depends, hit barrels of oil. Hit one of those and there would be a big explosion. However we don't know if there's any oil close to the wall, strategically I wouldn't place my oil by the wall." She began as they listened closely. "But anything to keep some soldiers occupied while the rest hit from the other side. It's impossible to outnumber them if they got all their men facing us." Vál explained and they nodded. She saw them exchange a look before stopping. Their men looked at them with frowns.

"We are just going to take a little detour," Harald told them and Vál only looked at him. "We've seen the wall before our little encounter this morning. It's worth a try before quickly joining the others don't you think?"

"Yeah but it's not necessary to bring everyone, let a hand full follow and the rest follows Rollo." Vál said and they both hummed in agreement. She couldn't believe she was actually having a decent conversation with two of the men she loathed, the men she had threatened to kill and shot arrows at. She rolled her eyes when she knew she had done the same to Björn when they first met but she was definitely not planning on sleeping with neither one of them.
