"So you miss graduation practice, but come to the after party?" Kyla eyed Mekai as he walked into the water park
This morning when she left, he was sleep. She woke him up a little, and he told her he'd be late to graduation practice, but he didn't show at all.
"Graduation practice is boring, I know the procedure" he fanned her off, gripping her butt
"Stop, Kai" she giggled, feeling his kisses on her neck
"You out here half naked and shit" they walked to one of the water rides
"It's a bathing suit, what did you expect?" Kyla squinted
"Niggas looking at you and shit. I'ma have to fight somebody before today over" he pulled at his beard
"They can look all they want. You the only one fucking me and holding my heart" she whispered in his ear, pecking behind it
"I feel you" he nodded, looking down at her while they waited in line
"Hey Mekai, you wanna get on the Slip N' Slide with us?" some girl walked over with two of her friends
"Nah, I'm cool" he declined
"Come on." She sighed "You used to always be the life of the party. Your girl calming you down now?" She smirked at Kyla, knowing what she was doing
Kyla cleared her throat and stepped forward "I will slip and slide yo' funky lookin' ass all around this water park. Get the fuck on"
She rolled her eyes before walking off.
"Oh how the roles have reversed." He chuckled, holding his girlfriend's hand
"She was pushing her luck" she shrugged, grinning

"Ah" Kyla laughed while Mekai carried her on his neck in the pool "Hey girl" Laura was doing the same to Dominic
"Heyyy. Let's see who's can fall off first" she suggested
"You so wack." Kyla shook her head
"Do I hear a punk?" she cupped her ear
"Everybody wanna keep testing my gansta, baby" she said to Mekai
"I see" he responded
"Come on, big headed bitch" Kyla joked
Dominic and Mekai walked up to each other and let the girls playfully push at one another. They both were having a laughing fit while they played. They both pushed at the same time and fell off their boyfriend's shoulders into the water.
"It's a tie!" Laura shouted as she came up "Ky?"
Their laughing died down as they waited for Kyla to come up. No one else around them seemed to see Kyla go under. Mekai wasted no time swimming underneath the water and pulling her up.
"Babe, look at me" he held her in his arms
She had gotten dizzy and lightheaded underwater and couldn't seem to find her way back up alone.
In between coughing, she said "Bathroom" she felt herself about to throw up
They all got out, leaving the rest of the seniors to have fun and play. Once they got to the bathroom, Mekai went in with her to make sure she was ok. Girls bathroom or not, he was going to be there for his girl.
They went into the handicap stall where Kyla emptied her guts into the toilet. Her wet hair hung over her face, so he pulled it back for her until she was done.
"You good now?" He asked
She nodded while rinsing her mouth out, then wetting a paper towel and putting it on her face for a few. Mekai held her hand as they exited the bathroom.
"You ok?" Laura and Dominic asked
"Yeah, I just ate before I got in the water" she nodded, still feeling a little nauseous
"I got you a ginger ale" Laura took the cap off and handed it to her
"Thanks" she took a sip and put the top back on "Laura, can you take me home?"
"I'll take you baby" Mekai said, wrapping his arm around her
"No, you stay and have fun. I don't wanna ruin it." She assured
"You wouldn't mind giving Dominic a ride home, would you?" Laura asked Mekai, considering the fact that he rode with her
"Nah." He answered "You sure you don't want me to take you home?" He asked Kyla again
"I'm sure baby." She let him peck her forehead "I love you"
"I love you too baby girl"

"Would you calm down?" Laura stared at Kyla pacing the floor
"I am calm" she raised her voice a little
"Arrd now" she straight faced her "Just because you might be pregnant, don't mean you can catch an attitude with everybody"
"Ugh" Kyla rolled her eyes "Is the time up yet?"
"2 more minutes. Can you sit down until the timer goes off? You making me dizzy"
"I'm good" she declined
"I thought I told you to take a test last month"
"The symptoms kinda went away and it slipped my mind." She shrugged "Maybe I'm not pregnant, maybe it's just a lil stomach virus"
"Yeah, a lil stomach virus" she said sarcastically
"Some support system you are, fat head" Kyla side eyed her
"You might as well get prepared, because you're most likely pregnant. I'm just trying to get you ready"
Kyla took a few deep breaths before the timer went off. "Let's check" she grabbed her friend's hand and dragged her in the bathroom
She picked up the test "Negative, like I figured" she relaxed herself
"But these two say positive" Laura held up the other test they got, just to be certain
And just like that, her heart dropped all over again "What does this mean?"
There was a strong possibility Kyla wasn't pregnant at all and just stressing, but there was also a possibility she could be carrying Mekai's child.
