-1 month later (Christmas Eve)
"I got you some ginger ale to help settle ya stomach" Mekai came in the house "And a pregnancy test" he sat the bag down
"I said I didn't want one"
"Baby, it's a possibility you could be."
Kyla didn't want to find out if she was pregnant, she didn't want to get excited, just to end up losing it again.
"Mekai no. What fuckin' part don't you understand?" she threw the pregnancy test in the trash
He sucked his teeth "Yeen gotta bitch about it."
"Fuck you. Yo ass should've listened when I said not to buy the shit"
"Yo ass need to know if you fuckin' pregnant, stupid." He grab a bottle of water from the fridge
"I already told you I'm not, dumbass. You keep dragging the shit." she was getting irritated
"Girl, shut the fuck up."
"Nigga you shut the fuck up!" Kyla yelled "Stupid ass bitch" she got in his face
"Stop playin, move"
"What you gone do? Hit me? Do it, we gone be some fightin' motherfuckas' in here." She mushed his face
Which was true. If he hit her, she wasn't going to run off crying, she was going to get in all the hits she could.
"Kyla get the hell out my face." He chuckled, clenching his jaw
"Nah, bitch." she mushed his face again
This time, Mekai wrapped his hand around her throat, gripping it. Kyla didn't know whether to be angry or turned on. He had her confused.
"I told yo ass stop playing wit' me. Youn' wanna take the test? Fine, but you ain't finna' stand in here and bitch. You hea' me?"
She stayed quiet, glaring at him. They stared at each other for a few seconds before he gripped her throat tighter.
"I said do you hear me?"
Kyla nodded, mugging him.
"Fix yo damn face." he walked pass her "Bring yo ass in this room and cuddle with me." he said from down the hall
"Bitch" Kyla mumbled, walking down the hall to cuddle with him

"I'm sorry I got you irritated earlier. I just don't want you going through anything else alone." He laid his head on her chest
"I'm fine Kai" she rubbed his short, black curls
"No. I'm here to go through shit with you and help. I ain't gone rush you, but I want you to take that test." he explained
"Ok" she rolled her eyes
"Thank you" he lifted his head up and pecked her lips
"Whatever" she wrapped her legs around him, getting more comfortable
He laid his head back on her chest while her nails ran through his hair. "I love you"
"I love you too" she closed her eyes
