"He said the police got a report of a woman seen with two kids at the gas station near the airport."
"Her ass must be tryna' take them back to Seattle." Kyla laced her sneakers up before grabbing the keys "Grab the bag" she said to Mekai before heading out the bedroom
He complied, after he put his shirt on, then followed her out the door.

"That's her creepy ass van. Park right here." Kyla hopped out after Mekai parked
She ran inside, not caring about anything else but getting her babies, Mekai was right beside her.
"Seattle ain't boarded yet." Mekai read the screen while Kyla scanned the airport
"Check around down here, I'm going to the 2nd floor."
"You strapped?" He asked only loud enough for her to hear
"I left it in the car."
"Let's go to the bathroom and you can take mine."
"Then you not gone have nothing. Look, I'll be ok. Just come to the second floor prepared if you don't find her down here first." She said quickly "Be safe. I love you."
"I love you too." Mekai pecked her lips before they parted ways
Mekai began searching around on the first floor while Kyla made her way up the escalator, saying a prayer in her head.
"Amen" she said aloud as she reached the top
The 2nd floor was the food court, so more people were up there. She searched throughly and quickly, even taking a second glance at some people, but she was having no luck. She headed for the public restroom, with a little hope still in her heart.
As she neared the ladies' room, she heard cries, making her speed up. She burst in, pushing pass a lady leaving out.
When she turned the corner, she was greeted with Olivia's back.
"Hush up all that crying, we going home in just a few." Olivia tried to calm Kason, who was crying in a car seat on the floor while Kacey was getting changed
A rush of emotions ran through Kyla before she charged at Olivia, grabbing a handful of her greasy, stiff hair. She rammed her face into a nearby sink repeatedly. Bystanders screamed and watched, but none of them even attempted to interfere.
The twins started crying loudly, bringing Kyla back from her blackout. She looked at Olivia's bloody, bashed in face before letting her drop to the ground. Tears ran down her face as she picked up both her children.
"My babies." She cried, walking through the crowd that had formed in the bathroom
"Ma'am-" someone tried to stop her
"Yo" Mekai rushed in
His eyes lit up at the sight of his children, alive and well. He looked pass Kyla, seeing Olivia on the floor in a pool of her blood.
"She dead?"
"Not sure, my main focus was the kids." she explained
"Kyla." An officer ran in
"Lady, we got our kids and we just wanna go home." She stopped her
"We need to go over a few-"
"Y'all ain't helped none, now you got a bunch of talking to do. Get the fuck out the way." Mekai brushed pass her, taking Kyla with him

"Looka' those smiles!" Kyla cooed, making the twins giggle "Momma' missed them lil' fat faces."

"Daddy missed momma' smile." Mekai came behind her, wrapping his arms around her
"Boy you just tryna' get some, move." she joked, pushing him with her hip
He chuckled "Nah, seriously. When you hurt, I hurt. We one."
"Awww, babyyy." she turned to him, pecking his lips
"Mhm" he put his hands on her hips "And when the twins go to sleep, we can become one over and over and over-"
"Move." she laughed and nudged him, turning back around to the twins
"Daddy silly? Huh?" she grinned, tickling their feet
While Kason laughed, he passed gas. Shortly after, he was making his infamous pooping face.
"Daddy silly, and mommy's on diaper duty." Mekai pecked Kyla's cheek and gave her butt a soft slap before walking off.
"Kai" she called out, but he ignored her
"Kai" she called again "Come back, become one with his diaper."
She was happy to have her little family back in order, even though it'd be short lived.
This book is a holiday behind (Thanksgiving, but we're going to just skip to Christmas), so you all will get a Christmas chapter anytime around Christmas night-December 28th.
