It was later that day that I began to hear whispers of Alessia. I was sleeping or, supposed to be; the doctor and my parents didn't suspect a thing. At first, they were talking about how pleased they were with my progress, but now they were talking about Alessia. I ached to ask questions, but I didn't want to give myself away.

Dylan had returned home after I had pestered him to get some sleep as I did so too, but he warned me that he'd probably be back. I felt light and warm just thinking about him now.

"And you're sure? There's no chance?" My mum asked.

Confused, I focused more. "Definitely. There's no way we can take this to court without the suspect herself."

I shot up, eyes wide, "What's wrong with Alessia?" I asked frantically, searching my parents' wide-eyes.

The doctor stepped forward. "It's none of your concern right now, we're just focusing on you–"

"But I'm absolutely fine," I argued, "and Alessia...she stabbed herself right after; she's here too, isn't she?" My parents exchanged looks. "I knew she would be. I want to see her."

My mum sat beside me tentatively, placing a hand on my shoulder after brushing back my hair. "I don't think that's a good idea, Olivia, this girl tried to murder you."
