Princess of the Night

Busangot ang mukha ni Suzanne habang mina-mop ang sahig ng secret place ng Apollo.

"Welcome to the other side of Apollo, Suzanne Matanguihan," nakangiting turan ng Apollo kay Suzanne.

Nakaramdam agad ng tuwa si Suzanne sa kanyang narinig.

Sa itinagal n'yang pananatili sa La Orian Academy, ngayon lang n'ya naramdaman na tanggap s'ya.

"Okay, since you already know about our secret place," bahagya s'yang dinuro ni Mark. "Starting today, you'll be the incharge of this place."

Kumunot naman ang noo ni Suzanne doon. "In charge?"

Mark smirked at her. "You'll be in charge of taking care and tidying this place."

"And this place is really, really confidential so you better keep this as a secret or else, you'll gonna receive a big punishment from us."

Winelcome nga s'ya, pero ginawa s'yang personal assistant.

Babayaran naman daw s'ya ng Apollo ngunit dahil ma-pride din ang isang Suzanne Matanguihan, kusa na lamang n'yang tinanggap ang alok nila nang walang bayad.

Baka kung pumalag pa ako ay pa-salvage pa nila ako. Mahirap na.

"Oh, Acquaintance Party will be this Saturday, right?" tanong ni Clyde habang nagso-scroll ng Instagram feed n'ya.

"I bet there's so many beautiful girls there," Dwayne grinned. "I wonder what they'll gonna wear. Maxim? Backless? Strapless?"

"Hah, you and perverted mind, Dwayne," halos magkasabay nilang wika ni Archles. Agad namang napalingon si Archles sa kanya at ngumiti.

"I'm not a pervert!" apela ni Dwayne. "You shouldn't think that I'm like that, Suzanne!"

Suzanne just shrugged and that made Dwayne pout.

"By the way, Suzanne," ani Clyde. Tumango naman sa kanya si Suzanne bilang senyales na nakikinig s'ya. "Do you have any plans for the party?"

Tumigil naman si Suzanne sa pagma-mop. "Hmm... wala eh."

"Are you serious? It's like... an important event for La Orian Academy students and it's like our little break before the mid-term exams."

"Why did you ask that?" tanong naman ni Dwayne. "Eh halata namang hindi s'ya pupunta."

"You're not going?" tanong ni Archles.

Umiling si Suzanne at ngumiti. "Hindi eh. May duty ako sa convenient store kailangan kong bumawi tsaka malapit na rin ang mid-terms..."

"Let her be," Mark piped up as he stood up. "It's not like she's an important guest. Aattend man s'ya o hindi, matutuloy pa rin ang party."

"Mark, that's rude."

"What? I'm telling the truth."

Wala lang namang kaso 'yung sinabi ni Mark.

Pero hindi pa rin maiwasan ni Suzanne ang makaramdam ng inis...

...at lungkot.

"I already brought my gown. It was exclusively made in France."

"Wow, me too!"

"Mine's in Milan and it's so gooooood to me."
