The kind dripping of rain,
awaken the thoughts of us,
I'd long put to sleep.

I've built up a wall,
just for it to unreasonably fall upon me
the day I thought forever,
you had to leave to somewhere I couldn't reach.

I'm scared to awaken more memories,
but grief is food for greater goodness.
So may they awaken,
even at the single drop of rain.
You must feel like rain,
gently ticking on my face because anything can happen
you must be the endless clock of the world
you must be counting every second and minute.

I'll wait for you,
just know one thing I'm never leaving,
I'll be anywhere you'll remember being with me:
in between the outstretched walls of the hotel room where I first held your hand in mine.
I'll be waiting for you in your mom's old car playing the same music we played the first time we stole it and went far away from the city.
You might not find me at the same coffee shop I first heard your name because, to be honest, I don't remember its name, what a pity.

Hope you don't mind but I'll be waiting anyways so when you're finished, come get me.
Hope you don't mind me thinking about you from time to time, hope you don't mind me summoning a version of you hoping it will keep me company.
