Clara's POV

I had no other choice but to report to the work. I couldn't even stand a single day with him, let alone lengthening my contract with him.

I made my way down to the dining area for breakfast after getting dressed up for work. The old maid who saw us earlier on was there too. I was embarrassed to see her, thinking that maybe she thought I was some promiscuous woman who threw herself at her rich master.

"Morning, Miss Mitch, please help yourself to the breakfast," The old maid said.

"Morning, thank you for the breakfast. How do I address you?" I asked her.

"Oh I'm Karen, also one of the oldest housekeeper here," She said with a friendly laughter.

I've got a nice feeling about Karen, she seems amicable, and there was this motherly vibe about her.

"Nice to meet you, Karen. You can call me Clara, just Clara," I replied with a smile.

I casted my eyes downwards as I explained to her in embarrassment about this morning's misunderstanding, "About this morning what you saw... It's a misunderstanding. We were not like what you think it is. I'm not the kind of woman that he brought back before."

"Oh, don't worry about it, sweetheart. I'm happy for Mr. Carlos actually, he hasn't brought back any women to his house before, you're the first he ever brought back. I can see he is really into you. I was getting worried if he was going to get married for all these years, you know after all I watched him grow up, he's like my son, he's a nice man," Karen replied me casually.

He hasn't brought back any woman before? That's strangely unusual for someone like him.
Nice man? I hardly think so...

Then Luciano came walking down the stairway to the dining area. There was this flashback of his member when I saw him, I nearly gagged on the sausage I was eating. I was still feeling embarrassed, knowing that we've seen each other intimate area although he raped me before when I was unconscious. I continued to look down on my plate of food, hoping that he doesn't strikes a conversation with me. Surprisingly, he really didn't talk to me at all throughout our breakfast.

"Get in the car once you're done," He said as he made his way to the door of the mansion.

I picked up my bag and hurriedly trailed after him. His chauffeur opened the door of his limousine car for us and we sat next to each other, not saying a single word to each other. It was awkward...

I have to think of a way to contact Rico when I'm at the office. Rico must be worried sick about me.

When we reached the 50th floor of Carlos, Chad walked up to Luciano and said, "In case you forgot, you've an interview with Forbes in about five mins time and you had better get someone else to replace Nora's job, your schedule is in a mess without her."

"But I still have you right?" Luciano said to him.

"Nah... I only deal with the big money," Chad replied with a comical expression and then he left.

It was obvious that the camaraderie between them was strong.

Luciano turned to me and said, "I will need you to cover whatever Nora's job was, screwing up on any part of it might result in a big loss to this company. I'll have that cost translated to your contract if that happens."

Damn it... He is leaving me with no choice but to work for him.

He took out a phone from the inner pocket of his blazer and said sternly to me, "Here's your new phone. Don't you dare try to call him."
