I was meeting up with my boss Erica and my co worker Ashley at a new club that was opening tonight. She wanted us to meet her new boyfriend Terrance. It was kind of weird being invited to go out by your boss, but I guess that's just the type of relationship that we have. I'm grateful for it, weird and all.

Erica is most definitely one of the most influential people in my life right now. I admire almost everything about her; her work ethic, her personality and the ability to connect with her clients and staff, and how smart she is. She's just an overall great person in my opinion and I'm blessed to have been able to meet her and to work for her. I don't take her presence in my life lightly and I definitely don't take it for granted.

When I'm at work with her, it doesn't feel like work. We're all able to have fun together and still he our work done. Our personalities just clicked and we just mesh together. I really do appreciate her friendship.

Although I didn't really like the club scene and I didn't go out much, Jerome was right. I needed to get out and be able to let loose a little bit and have fun. He mad it very clear that I didn't need to have too much fun. Jerome acts like he's my father sometimes, but I guess that's just him being a protective boyfriend. I turned my radio up and pulled out of the parking garage of the apartment complex and headed across town to the club.
