CV. into the night

Lonely again, into the night
Scared to show them of my fight
The fight I'm battling
with none but myself
Dumping my defeats on an overflowing shelf
"Why?" "Why?" "why?" and "why?"
No other reason left to cry
I don't remember but I kind of do...
I forgot you but I won't forget who
If I go and speak to
the rest of the world
They'll stomp me, thrash me,
my old fate of being hurled
My failures surround me
or so they do
more like consume me,
now that'll feel more true
Those happy days this little girl didn't know could haunt
are engraved in her heart
to pull and taunt
Second guessing at her finest
Zoning out into the closest distance
A heart that once overflowed
with love
Feels so empty, waiting on my tongue..
waiting patiently, to be revealed
If only I opened my mouth—
instead of having it sealed
