Nagisa's POV

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

Karma's heart monitor is the only sound I hear. I don't hear people walking in, giving prayers, conversations... I just listen to the beeping. Please, Karma. Stay alive. I hold his hand. Tears stream down my face for the millionth time. Eventually I fall asleep.

Next day.

Karma's POV
26 Days till Nagisa's Deadline.

I struggle to move as pain surges through my body. Nagisa is laying next to me. The clock in the hospital room says 3:57 A.M. Nobody is awake at this time. (A/N- Except for Ashley because she doesn't believe in sleep, yet falls asleep eventually ;-;) I pull Nagisa up with the weak strength I have, and fall back asleep.

Nagisa's POV (A/N- STOP SWITCHING BACK AND FORTH ASHLEY)

I wake up. I look around. "E-eh?!" I'm in Karma's arms. No one could've moved me here, unless... Karma! I look up to see him weakly smiling. "K-Karma!!" I cry out, sobbing into his shoulder, hugging him. "I-I-I'm so sorry, Karma!"

"Don't be, Nagisa."

"B-but-"

"Nagisa, can you tell me exactly what happened?"

"O-okay. I was running after you and-"

"I mean with Kayano. I saw you two kissing"

"Wha- Oh, no! She kissed me, Karma! I don't like her like that, I swear!"

"What about your Instagram post?"

"Instagram post?" I pull out my phone and open Instagram. I click on my profile and see the picture of Kayano kissing my cheek. I look at the caption. "Love ya, Kayano!"

"Oh this?! I don't mean it like that!! I meant it as in friend! I love her as a friend!"

He nods. "Well I'm glad we cleared that up." He says. He sits up and grunts in pain.

"D-do you want me to call a nurse?" I ask.

"Nah, not yet."

"Oka-" I'm cut off by him kissing me. He pulls away.

"I missed you." He says. I blush.

"M-me too. I love you, Karma. I'll never stop loving you until I die. No, I'll love you even after I die."

He looks away and I can feel the dark atmosphere coming back. I let it slide. I can't upset him anymore, it just leads to bad things.

"I'm going to call a nurse." I say. He nods.

4 Days Later (bc I don't do hospital scenes)

Karma's POV
22 Days till Nagisa's Deadline

I was released from the hospital four days after the accident. (A/N- can you be released 4 days after being hit by a fucking car? Idk and I don't care) I don't want to go through with this assassination at all. I have a little more than three weeks to spend with Nagisa. It's not enough. Why do you have to kill somebody, Nagisa?

Nagisa's letting me stay at his house again, which I'm thankful for. And we're back together.

"Karma! You're back!" Nagisa yells when I arrive at his place. He hugs me.

We go inside his house. "Karma, I was thinking about something." He says.

"What is it?"

"Do you want to come with me, to Washington D.C.? I'm going in three weeks."
