Resolution's can conclude loose ends and satisfyingly finish it all off.

Or leave loose ends untied and questions still left to be answered. More so if the book is part of a series.

So how do you tie plot lines in a breathtaking, shocking and sudden way?

1. Make sure you're feeling inspired. There's no point forcing it out. Check out the chapter on lacking inspiration: tips on getting inspired again for more.

2. Read through your story so far to refresh your memory and familiarise yourself with the narrative.

3. If you're struggling draw up a rough plan of your ending. It doesn't have to be detailed, just bullet points.

4. Short sentences make good endings. To reveal things slowly and with impact is effective.

5. Use an online thesaurus. This helps  to avoid boring, overused words with interesting, unique ones that have the same meaning. Sometimes those words just don't come to mind.

6. Don't prolong the ending by making it too lengthy. It just needs to be long enough to conclude.
