Editing is a writers power tool. And being a Wattpad writer, you can still re-edit your work even if you've already published it, which is a huge benefit.
Editing can save a story from being deleted. Never completely delete a story unless you've read through it and at least tried to re-edit it!
You can constantly improve your writing by regularly reading through either published or unpublished work and making even slight alterations each time.
Editing is the way to make your writing as close to perfection as you can. Published authors can be faced with hours of heavy editing before their book is approved.
It's a chance to cut down on aspects unnecessary to the plot, check for typos and spelling or grammar mistakes. As well as just re-new your work.
Definitely edit and re-edit your work on a semi-regular basis. When I started this guide in 2013/14 my writing style was completely different, meaning I've had to edit all chapters for consistency.
