after they finished getting ready they got in his truck and he drove them to school.
they walked in holding hands like usual. nate was looking around watching everyone stare at them. he loved the feeling of everyone being curious about him and where he'd been. bailey just smiled at everyone like usual.
maddy,kat,cassie,and BB were all walking. Bailey saw them and went to let go of nate's hand so she could go see her friends.
all she wanted to do was laugh and smile with BB. she wanted to ask Kat how she was doing. she wanted cassie to update her on her relationship with mckay. and she wanted to hug maddy.
when she went to let go of nate's hand to see her friends he tightened his grip on her arm causing her body to stumble a little bit.
she whispered "nate" he looked at her "why would you do that" he said nothing. but he stared at her. she gulped.
she still walked towards BB,Kat,Cassie,and Maddy but walked with nate because he made it clear he didn't want her to walk away without him.
"heyyy pretty" cassie said bailey smiled she sweetly said hey.
kat- bailey where have you been,we've missed y- nate cut her off nate-what you keeping tabs on her location now? he said to kat with an attitude kat rolled her eyes at nate to stop the awkwardness, BB started talking. BB-bichhhh you look so good bailey smiled and said thankyou and followed it with a "so do you" nate cleared his throat making it obvious he didn't want to be standing there anymore. bailey pretended she didn't notice and continued listening to Kat talk about the fact that she was making bank off of old lonely men online. until nate pulled bailey away. she stumbled behind him and turned to wave at the girls.
Kat-what the fuck is his issue maddy rolled her eyes "who knows"
why is he being like this? they always have a routine where they walk into school together and then as soon as she sees her friends,she walks up to them and nate goes to his friends.
she walked behind him while he was holding onto her wrist tightly "nate- he brought her into a classroom and pushed her backpack on the floor pushed her against the wall with his body pushed against hers. she looked at him and he was breathing heavy "nate" she whispered again. he looked at her and she looked at him. but she was scared. you could see it in her eyes. she was frozen. she wasn't gonna try to make him get off of her because she had a feeling he would get mad. so she just stood there waiting for it to be over an evil smile appeared on his face he pushed himself off of her and winked "i will see you after school" he said.
she nodded her head and stood there waiting for her heart to stop beating 1 million miles per hour.
what even just happened? she was so confused and so scared.
she just decided it was best if she didn't overthink it. she bent down and grabbed her backpack and walked away to her first class.
when she got in the classroom the teacher looked at her "and where have you've been the last week young lady"
bailey looked at her "i was um sick" the teacher nodded but didn't believe her. bailey smiled at took a seat. everyone was sitting in their desks listening to the teacher talk and bailey's phone turned on because nate texted her.

she looked at it and didn't reply. she put her phone down and looked at the teacher.
3 hours later at lunch-
she was sitting with a few of the other girls in her grade.
bailey just listened to all of them talk and pretended to laugh and care. but she wasn't worried about them. she was confused about her and nates altercation this morning.
*at the end of the day* she had cheer practice and nate had football practice. and normally they would meet eachother after school and he'd walk her to the locker room and wait outside until she was in her uniform and then he would walk her to the gym where she had practice.
