(Original)

I hate my life/ I can't sit still for one more single day/ I've been here waiting for something to live and die for/ Let's run and hide/ Out of touch/ Out of time/ Just get lost without a sign/ As long as you stay by my side/ In your shadow I can shine- Tokio Hotel- In Your Shadow I Can Shine

Epilogue

May 31, 2013

Adrenaline rushed through my veins though nerves ate the insides of my stomach. A shaky breath rattled from my mouth. Beads of perspiration dwelled in my hairline, awaiting the time to fall. Thinly layered makeup enhanced my visual appeal, yet concealed the beauty of uniqueness.

Crashing applause rebound across the stage above me, accelerating my already crashing heart. Footsteps echoed overhead. To be exact, two sets.

"Hey guys," Bill yelled over the roaring crowd, who only grew in sound by the second.

Amplified by the microphone his voice boomed again, "Thank you so much for coming out tonight-"

Sounded as if torn away from the mic, Tom's voice burst through the speakers unexpectedly, "This means the world to us, seeing our fans awaiting our music in the making-"

Static occupied the in the microphone, yet again, generating a high pitched reverberation vibrating throughout the speakers. Bill had stolen the mic back, "I can't believe we're back in the US! We are on a wonderful stage tonight. You know why?" A pause allowed screams to envelop the air, "Because this stage changed not only our lives but also altered another life as well."

Again the voice changed; however, this Tome I could tell the mic wasn't fought over. "She's been opening our world tour every day since we started-"

The crowd hushed in anticipation for one of the twins to continue, but the dead air hung forever. If one trailed a sentence, the other always finished. Not this time. Humming of electricity invaded the vast noiselessness hovering around the crowd.

"It's your time to shine," whispered the stage manager, handing me a green bejeweled mic. Light seeped through small slits lining the boards above reflecting off the gems. Though the rugged stones imprinted my smooth skin, I received comfort in an object I recognized. Obtaining another breath, I departed my doubts allowing the platform to arise me toward a sea of uncharted people.

Smoke swirled around me lit by lights swarming the stage. Thundering screams sprouted from the crowd proclaiming my arrival as the vapor cleared.

"We'd like to welcome our sister, Sephora, to her home stage with her debut album Not All is Lost and her breakthrough single Demented!" the boys announced together.

A familiar feel washed through me, all traces of nervousness disappeared. Cueing me, the light purr of Tom's opening chords struck.

"You're demented"

With soft backup vocals, the twins' voices allured me further into a current, trapping me. Seeping in my skin, the familiar music intensified.

"Have you seen the look in your eyes? (Demented)

About to ignite a forest fire

Started by our spark together

Kill

It's what you were made to do

I can see it now

You're demented

What's up with you?"

Heights only reached by singing soared through me. I was higher than I could breathe. Addicted. Drugged. And it defined amazing. Voice flourishing, I embraced the second verse widening my range of pitch.

"I'm demented

Deformed by fears that came true (Demented)

Aiming to die tonight

Collapsed under pressure

I'm demented

I can see it now

Through your eyes

My mic became clutched in the stand's grasp as it lifted from below. Throwing my hair back in forth, mahogany locks clung to my face, cold with sweat. Jet black hair imposed my peripheral vision just as Bill joined me in the chorus. His voice merged into mine. Harmony of our unleashed spirits poured onto the stage.

"Bent in odd ways

Shifting forms

Surviving on each other's fears

That's what we are

Demented from the start"

Tom's solo hit the audience hard. Quick with precision, his fingers moved along the strings scratching the sound. Electric. Riving rhythm caught on by the drums faded the piercing electric guitar. Glass, sliding on glass. At that exact moment, music conveyed rough around the edges with a smooth connecting center.

"Doesn't that make us a perfect couple?

Both waiting of what's to come

Even as we let each other crumble

Wouldn't we be amazing together?

Creating our world mental

As we are demented (Demented)"

The ending cord of the bridge rested in the air, to be awakened again with an eased edge. Slowing into the final chorus, Bill's voice blended mine perfectly.

"Bent in odd ways

Shifting forms

Surviving on each other's fears

That's what we are

Demented from the start"

Bill backed away from center stage allowing the crowd to praise me. A smile played at my lips thoughtfully. Head turning, I caught eyes of gleaming bronze with a slight undertone of brown, shining gold under the fading stage lights. Still his hair betrayed the night in a metallic glass, dark as obsidian although the lights dwindled from the set. That same expression occupied the face of Bill. The boy I accidentally met in Paris.

Well here it is, the ending. I hope this tied off the ends for now. Did you like my original lyrics?? just wondering...

There will be a sequel at some point in time, at the moment I'm not sure when though. Reconnected will definitely be edited so that is my top priority. If I'm not uploading in a while its because all my time is going to be spent rewriting. I might every so often upload a chapter or two of another book. If there are any request don't be scared to ask. I'm always willing to write something.

But truthfully, my idea for my next few book plots is to post the first chapter of each book in one story group to see which one has the most feedback. Then I'll take all my time to write that. But this solely depends on you. What do you think??

Well thank you for all the support. I thank you all for the votes, comments, and even the silent readers. My gratitude is from the bottom of my heart.

Until next time
