Ch 7

June 19, 2010

Pondering my options; I had been for days. Only one stood out though, and I couldn't find the will to muster up my courage to try to contact them. If any of this turned to be true, I'd be related to international fame. Is that what I wanted to know? Or was it the fact that I finally had someone I could connect to my existent? Maybe I wasn't an only child. If it turned out in, I guess I could say my favor, I'd have someone to turn to, maybe someone who could understand me.

It had to be a coincidence, meeting the twins three times. No way would I believe it was fate, but then again...

Skylar Grey's song, Love the Way You Lie, blasted from my cell phone jolting me from my thoughts, which were circling once again, to nowhere.

"Hello?" I asked completely annoyed with myself, not who was on the other side. But of course, it was taken the opposite way intended as there was no response. "Hello," I said again, grasping my bearings, with my voice pleasanter than the first greeting.

A low breath, slowly dragged, vibrated into my ear from the other line. Warm breath tickled against the hairs on my neck, but it had to be my imagination wanting attention.

I faltered with my next phrase, uncertain who may have been on the calling end as it was an unknown number. Listlessly, I pulled my phone from my ear. Call ended blinked upon the screen and not than a second later did my screen saver pop back up.

Shakily, I drew in a breath. Falling upon the comfort of my bed, I tried relentlessly to find sleep. Yet never did it come. Sleeplessness coveted my nights. And though my eyes were heavy and darkness appeared, I felt myself toss and turn every so often whereas I feel awake the whole night. Restless. Setting oranges of the sun to the midnight blue with the moon shining to the dawning morning and awakening birds of the summer. Every minute is felt. With failure of sleep, I scrolled through my calling logs. The same number appeared twice; however, I remember only once did this person call.

With my curiosity spiked and a burst of energy, I opened my laptop to search the number, although it marked itself as private in my phone. No results led to a dead end.

Now with my thoughts in a different direction, I phoned Adileigh, asking her to join me in an important relevance of information. My mind might have been set, but I could've easily talked myself out of the situation. Though at the moment, it probably wasn't the best to be indecisive.

A creak from my door, signaled me to shake my head from weary thoughts of the mystery phone call. "Finally, you're here."

"You called five minutes ago. It hasn't been forever," she replied.

"In my mind, forever has been the last week. Ok? You're practically living my life. Can't you feel the slowness, shocking of everything?" A nod answered my question. "My birthday felt so long ago." But at the same time, those events were still prominent within my thoughts.

Without a second wavering, Adileigh punched in the fan-line number of Tokio Hotel. Apparently she memorized it, waiting for the perfect moment to seize her chance to personally speak with them. Switching the mobile to speakerphone, the ring repeated endlessly before a voice draped the stiffness of the room, holding both Adileigh and I captive.

"Guten Tag! Willkomme Sie Tokio Hl Hotline. If you would like to leave a message for Bill, press one." The voice was coated in the usual German accent with the slight lisp from English. "For Tom, press two. For Georg press three. For Gustav press four. And if you want to leave a message for the whole band, press five. We will try to answer your question. Auf Wiedersehen."

In the silence, Adileigh's finger hovered over the first number. "For Bill," she said.

"Ya," I answered timidly. Maybe I wasn't ready to find out. Maybe I didn't want to know. My doubts of the decision resurfaced. What if it's the answer I didn't want to hear. Thoughts were swirling creating a web, becoming a mess unable to be untangled.

With a beep of the recorder, my voice automatically moved through the air. "Hello Bill, I'm Sephora. Remember me? I doubt you do. Oh well." My voice was abnormally quick and words were slurred. Slowing down, I began the actually reason why I called, "I know this is just your portion of the fan line, but if you don't mind I have a question for you and Tom." I took a breath. "This isn't a normal fan question you usually have to answer, but if you respond, I would like an honest response." I paused again. Why was I nervous? Oh right! I was trying to find out some life changing information. That's nothing to be afraid of. My thoughts were being obnoxiously sarcastic in a moment of seriousness.

"How would you react if you found out you had a half sibling?"

I shuttered. My tongue became caught as I tried to finish my message. Thank goodness for friends. Adileigh finished the call with my own contact information, telling them to call whenever they were given the opportunity.

I shook my head in disappointment. "You really expect them to call back?" I asked, skeptical of any response at all.

"Look, they remembered you at a concert in 2008, when they originally met you in 2005. Bill still remembered you at their concert we attended for your birthday. There's no doubt he will respond. I'm positive."

Adileigh stared at me strait in the eyes, "Get some rest girl. You need to catch up on sleep."

I laughed. Her eyes were just as dark rimmed as mine. Sleep just hasn't liked either of us lately. "You do too," my reply came.

Though, with some contentment in at least trying, I laid upon my bed. A cover was thrown over my body. Without changing, I closed my eyes and for the first time since my birthday, darkness kindly evaded my room without dreams, or rather nightmares, haunting this sleep.

Finally finished with another chapter. :D This actually took more thought than most of them. I was running short on words. :P This chapter is dedicated to Nightlywonder as she has helped me incorporate some German into this chapter. And are catch phrase we use often is, "CAN YOU HEAR ME? I AM SCREAMING FROM THE TOP OF THE WORLD!" Love ya girl <3.

German Translations:

Guten Tag! (Good day!)

Willkommen Sie Tokio Hotel Hotline. (Welcome to Tokio Hotel's hotline.)

Auf Wiedersehen. (Good bye.)
