Chapter 29

Pyrus' POV

We have already had a few families come to the island, scared after we made our move against the humans. We had some humans protesting, telling their governments to leave us alone, and their governments freaked thinking they were actually some of our people so they all ended up arrested. Now that was just insane in my opinion, but I wasn't going to say anything on the matter since we had our own issues to deal with.

We had workers and supplies all over the island. I sent Shyrah and Rohan to the other half of the island to monitor the workers there while Qin and I were on this half. The castle that we had built in the center of the kingdom was already finished, like many of the buildings, but getting things like the magic electricity to run through everything is what's taking time. Once the witches finish with the runes then AC will finally be established and we can start moving more people here. There was still a lot we needed to do, but we had so many people now working, to propel our progress, that we were making great advances in many areas. 

Qin and I were now in the palace, on an actual bed that our mate Alice so graciously brought to us. Of course with no AC we slept without blankets, and I enjoyed cuddling with Qin when he had the ability to make his body cool to the touch. Today it rained so it cut the heat and made the night temperatures enjoyable. When I saw him laying on the bed, only the thin sheet covering him from the hips down, his ginger hair spread out, I couldn't resist going over to him. I straddled him and he peeked an eye open while looking at me over his shoulder. I gave him a smile before running my hands over his back. He groaned softly as I began to massage out the knots in his back. 

I continued working out the various knots, earning myself different moans and groans. The sounds my mates made was always my favorite part.

Once his back was done, I began to trail kisses down his spine. "Pyrus," he said in warning. "That's my name," I said as I moved his sheet down to reveal my destination. "We have to meet with Drake to start the tour of the island tomorrow," he reminded me.

"I'm sure if we tell him we over slept because I fucked your brains out most of the night, he'll understand. Maybe even be jealous that he wasn't here to take part," I said to him before settling between his legs, massaging his cheeks in my hands. I then revealed the hole I will very much be claiming tonight. I let my tongue circle it, causing him to moan softly. It's been too long since I've had him last. I continued to tease him with my tongue, earning beautiful moans from him. I then wetted a finger using my mouth before slowly pushing into him. I smirked as I began to pump in and out of him before reaching with my free arm to the lube I left on the nightstand when he wasn't paying attention. 

I added lube to his hole before adding in a second finger to stretch him further. He was now moaning as he rocked himself against my fingers. I smiled, so greedy.

Qin's POV

I couldn't sit down thanks to Pyrus. When Drake got here with Alice he gave us each deep kisses. Goddess I've missed him and the rest of our mates. I missed our kids so much too. I couldn't wait for them to get here. He had a bag with him since he planned to help out some but the tour won't take long despite how massive the continent now was. He was going to be flying in his dragon form, with us riding him which is the fastest way without taking days. Those are days we don't have. 

"I see you two enjoyed yourselves last night," Drake said as he smirked at the mark on my neck. It was one of the many marks Pyrus left on my skin last night. "What can I say, we had to break in our new bed," Pyrus said with a chuckle while my cheeks felt warm. Drake chuckled and shook his head, "You couldn't have waited for me to get here? I even brought rope." My face felt like it was on fire and not from the sun.  

At this rate it's going to be a while before I'm able to sit down. 

We went into then castle and looked around it with a smile. There wasn't very many personal touches yet, since our mates were still packing up things back home. 

We took him to our room where it was obvious how much fun Pyrus and I had last night. Drake didn't say anything, simply just smirked. He stripped down to just his basket ball shorts before we went outside. He slipped off his shorts quickly before he shifted. 

He lowered himself down so we could mount him. Pyrus wrapped an arm around my waist as Drake took off. 

We talked through the mind link, telling him which direction he would find various things we've done. 

"I see you've already started bringing in livestock," he said in the mindlink as he flew over a small farm. 

As we flew you didn't see a single paved road. We didn't plan on having vehicle transportation here which is where the horses came in. There was no need for cars honestly. We had magic teleportation circles in each of the major areas we have established. Plus vampires and fae tend to be faster than cars anyways. Witches flew on their brooms if they weren't in a rush. Genie and witches can also teleport. The only vehicular things we need are the construction vehicles, but that is because they have a purpose and they moved just fine on the dirt. 

We did have stone walkways between buildings that helped outline the different cities, but they were stone slabs that were laid into the ground, much like old fashion brick roads that people laid centuries ago. They required little maintenance, they looked beautiful, and if a slab were to break it's a quick removal and replace it. Even then the slabs were reinforced with magic to allow them to last. There was no need for cement to keep them in place either. Each city took only a day each to have these large slabs laid. We also had special water ways to catch rain water and such. Each building was also hooked up to a magic septic system that easily disposed of waste water in a very environmental friendly way. Our water was pulled from the ocean and ran through a water purification and changing system that turned the salt water into clean freshwater, that was ready to use. 

"We also started bringing other animals to establish a proper food chain," I shared with him through the mind link as we flew over one of the forests and spotted some foxes on the edge of it. 

Many shifters were tasked with catching various animals to help with creating our ecosystem. We couldn't have too many docile animals or we'd be over run with a bunch of prey animals like rabbits and such, which is the last thing we needed. Plus the animals will help us maintain the land we worked hard to build. 

As we continued to fly above it all, I was just amazed at how far we've come. Never in a million years did I ever think we'd make it this far. 

"You two have worked so hard," Drake said to us via mindlink. "I am so proud of you and the things you have done for us and our people. I'm honored to call the both of you my mates."  

I felt my eyes burn slightly at his words. Pyrus' arm around my waist tightened a little as he rested his chin on my head. 

"I would do this all over again if it meant our people and all of you had a place that was safe to call home," Pyrus said to him and I was in agreement. 

It took a lot of time but our new home was almost completed. We just need to finish the last few important details before it was ready for our people to fully move in, but I know within the month we'll be there.
