Nathaniel's POV

We were waiting for all of the votes to come in, but so far our people were strongly leaning towards moving to a land all our own. Tomorrow we should have all of the votes in, and if it continues like it is, the day after we will have Qin and the warlocks begin creating our new land in the area Alice found on the map. It had strong ley lines and after we had a team of merfolk check it, we found the area is also rich in underwater caves and caverns that we can use for those who need the sea. Pyrus is drawing up maps and images of different terrains that are needed while working with Drake on calculating the scale. Shelton and I have been writing out lists of procedures for how we will proceed if we do make this transition. Cindy has been busy making sure we will have all of the supplies we will need and is writing up how we announce this to the humans once it is official.

Qin gave us a time frame of a month to two months to getting the land ready for the move. Pyrus said usually doing something like this could take years getting it all up and buildings built with roads paved, but we have received word from thousands of volunteers with materials, it will be ready in the blink of an eye. It was a lot to do, but in the end I feel it will be worth it.

I walked into the room, and noticed Qin leaning on the balcony, looking out at the field. I went over and wrapped my arms around him, "What's wrong?" I rested my chin on the top of his head as he sighed. "How many more wars am I gonna have to be in," He asked with a sigh. "First the war with the witches, then the war within the books, then the demon apocalypse, and then the war with our own people. I can pick up a sword and protect my family without missing a beat, but the idea of having to slaughter so many? It's too much." "What was the war inside the books about," I asked him. "When inside the books, we were in this weird realm," He explained. "Those of us who were powerful, had been bound to one specific book and that was our only way out of the book. Factions began to form around each book, trying to figure out who was more powerful. The war lead to me being their King." As he said King he made air quotes. "As the centuries went by many began to loose their memories, struggling to remember who they once were. I went every day, repeating to myself who I was and what had happened. I refused to turn into them. After that they became compliant, accepting me as the leader. Then Shyrah and her two sisters, Karla and Mania, who somehow entered our book dimension when they were trying to use their demonic abilities to run away from authorities after they stole some bread." "Was one of them the Realm Demons Alice fought during the apocalypse," I asked him.

We all had questions about them. After all, it was said that they were his daughters, yet if we're his mates, where did they come from originally. Since it seemed he wasn't having any contact with them, and we've had so much happen, we thought it best to just leave it alone. Part of it was because we didn't want to know if he really did have a family with someone else. Jealousy had always shown it's ugly head at the thought.

He nodded, "She had fought Shyrah. Mania, Karla, and Shyrah had been rumored to be my daughters. In a way they were. When they came into the dimension, I couldn't figure out how to get them home. I learned they were orphans and were living in the streets, surviving off of the food they were stealing. They were so young and just learning how to use their abilities. So I raised them. I never told them about who I truly was or what my real goal was when I got out of the books. When I broke the curse, and you all didn't want me, I went to the lake. They approached me. They were hurt, and they were pissed I never told them. They had every right to be. They then declared they wanted nothing to do with me, and set out on their own." He took a deep breath before sighing. "I would have told you all, but I was too ashamed of myself. Had I told them from the beginning then things may have played out differently."

"Why didn't you," I asked him. "Because I never thought the curse would have ever been broken. I thought I was forever stuck as a demon and didn't see the harm in it at the time," He confessed. "I asked Karen to see if she could track the girls down but they went completely off grid. None of Karen and Serge's contacts could find them either. I worry, but I know they're also strong and capable women. I just want the chance to apologize to them at least."

"They'll come around, just give them time," Drake said from where he was leaning against the door way. He and Cindy had come in with the twins as he talked. "Mania and Karla maybe, but Shyrah is another story. She is hot headed, and surely does know how to hold a grudge," Qin said with a sigh. "Maybe if we move, and give our people a fresh start, you'll see them again," Cindy said with a smile. Qin returned it, but the uncertainty was heavy in his eyes. Cindy then smiled brighter, "On the other had that means we have three daughters we have yet to meet." The ever accepting woman, I thought as I smiled softly at her.

Then Shelton and Alice came in. Shelton was soaking wet and Alice was laughing. "What happened," Drake asked concerned. "We were in the kitchen when Alice sneezed and the sink turned into a geyser. She has officially reached the point where she doesn't have full control of her magic," Shelton said before going into the bathroom. "I didn't mean for it to happen," Alice said with a giggle. We laughed softly as Pyrus came in holding a bowl in his hands. Alice smiled and took it as he kissed her cheek. "She soaked the cooks too," Pyrus said. "It wasn't the first time she's had a little incident today. She sneezed in my office and papers ended up everywhere." "I cleaned it up," She muttered before taking a bite of her food. "Awwww the babies want to use their magic," Cindy said happily. "That's so cute." "It's cute till either the warlock or the fire fae sets the bedroom on fire," Drake said.

Fingers crossed that doesn't happen.

After that I went to my office to finish the paperwork I had waiting for me. When Pyrus and Cindy came in I glanced at the time. "You missed dinner," Cindy said. "Yeah. I was working on the policy papers Shelton and I had drawn up," I said as she came and sat in my lap. "Missing dinner isn't good," She scolded me. I nodded with a soft smile, "My apologies, it won't happen again." She smiled, "Good." "If it does, does that mean I get to top you," Pyrus asked with a lopsided smirk. "Only in your dreams," I told him. "Come on blood sucker, you know you want to," Pyrus teased as he bent down bracing his hands on the arms of my chair, Cindy now stuck between us. "Now listen here flaming idiot," I told him with a smirk of my own. "You will never top me."

"One day," Pyrus said with a chuckle. "For now though I will enjoy topping this little genie." He turned his attention to Cindy who smiled. I placed my hands on her hips, "Now that sounds like a wonderful idea." "But we were supposed to have Nathaniel come with us to bed," Cindy said to Pyrus. "I think they won't mind waiting a bit longer, plus we need to feed him," Pyrus said as I began to kiss down the side of her neck and she easily caved, grinding into my growing erection. Pyrus captured her lips as my fangs bit into her neck. As I drank I moved one of my hands from her hips to unbutton his jeans and slip my hand in. When I finished feeding I licked the wound closed in her neck. After that Pyrus and I tag teamed against Cindy, turning her into a moaning and whimpering mess on the couch in my office. After I prepped her, Pyrus sat on the couch, having Cindy lower herself onto his hard shaft, her back to his chest as he took her tight ass. I kissed her as I stood between their legs, entering her. She arched and moaned as we began to thrust. Her holes clenched around us tightly as she came causing her own orgasms. When I came bit into Pyrus's neck and he groaned softly. We stayed like that till I finished feeding from him. I pulled away after sealing the bite. I looked down at Cindy, her eye lids drooping. I went into my bathroom and got us warm wet rags to clean up with. Pyrus slipped his tshirt on her before putting his pants on. I dressed in only my pants before picking her up. She held out her hand for Pyrus and he took it. She teleported us to the bed room where Shelton had Drake bent over the bed, his cock deep inside him. Alice and Qin were on the other side of the bed, Qin's wrists tied to the head board as Alice rode him. "See Cindy, told you they wouldn't mind waiting," Pyrus said with a bright smile causing me to chuckle.
