Army Peter pt4

Peter spent the rest of the night (morning) punching the punching bag. It calmed him and made him not think. He did some weights, deadlift, bench press, stuff like that, all advanced for his power of course. Than went on a run. Running was his favorite.

He would run and it'd be like he was back in the army. Surrounded by his brothers.

When he got back it was 8 am. And peter was up
"Good morning mom"
"Good morning Pete!" Pepper replied
"How was your run?" Pepper questioned seeing the sweat and workout clothes he was in.
"It was fine, woke up early so I did a workout." Peter said
"I see, I have work today but tony will be home all day and Morgan is at school already" Pepper told him
"Ok bye mom!" Peter said as he hugged Pepper before she left

Peter went and showered and walked into his room with his towel around his waste. He was looking for clothes to change into. He chose sweats and a white tank top since it was hot but he wanted to be comfy. What he didn't remember was that some of his tattoos were showing and the tip of a scar that told a horrifying story.

He walked out to see tony on the couch working on some papers
"Good morning kid" tony said
"Morning dad" peter replied
"Can I go work in the lab dad?"
"Sure kid just don't break anything" tony said not looking up

Peter went down to the lab and couldn't help but smile at the familiar smell of oil and cologne. He sat down and started working on his web shooters and any other project he could.

He was so focused on his projects he didn't even realize that it had been hours until Pepper opened the door and called him to come eat

He walked upstairs and sat down when he heard a gasp
"Peter!" Pepper exclaimed
She walked over and looked at the small scars and the tattoos, when her eyes found the tip of the big one. She carefully pulled his shirt up to look at it. It was long, jagged, and ugly.
"Oh baby I'm so sorry" she said with tears in her eyes pulling him into a hug
"I'm okay mom, I'm home" peter said trying to comfort her someway.
Tony saw it all happen and joined in the hug.
They all sat down to eat supper when someone's phone began to ring.
"Hey Nicky!" Peter answered
"Peter how are you feeling?" Nick questioned
"I'm fine now, don't worry" peter answered
"Ok, also Andrew and ray are probably going to call you soon, they said they missed you" nick said casually
Peter laughed "I've only been gone a few days how could they possibly miss me."
"You know how they are" nick replied laughing but then he said quietly "especially after it happened."
Peter's face quickly changed from one of laughter to one of sadness. Which everyone saw
"Ya I know" peter quietly responded
"I got to go petey, ttyl?"
"Ya bye Nicky" peter said as he hung up

He looked back at his family
"Sorry that was one of my friends"
He said with a small smile
Everyone nodded and the rest of dinner was quiet.
After dinner they all sat down to watch a movie.
"Alright kid it's your turn to pick what are we watching?"
"Hmm let me think... Star Wars!" Peter said excitedly
"Of coarse" tony replied with a small laugh
Once the movie was over Morgan and peter were asleep and tony and pepper were talking.
"I can tell he's changed a lot" tony said
"Ya, did you see the scar? It's huge!" Pepper cried as she ran her hand through peters hair.
"I saw, hopefully he'll open up soon. I missed him so much" tony said.
"We should head to bed" Pepper replied
"Ya, you take the munchkin, I'll take the kid"
Pepper laughed, "can you even lift him?"
"Of coarse, I'm ironman!" Tony laughed
He picked peter up in a bridal style carry with a little trouble but other wise pretty easily. He carried him to his room and saw the pillow on the floor.
"Oh kid why didn't you say something" he whispered
He placed him on the bed and tucked him in. Pepper walked in and they both kissed his forehead and left. They repeated it with Morgan.
"Our two kids both home" pepper said crawling into bed
"Ya just like when they were younger" tony replied following suit.
They both fell asleep together.
